Both packs sound great!!! The fact that the Hero's in this set are dual faction, is really how they should have done the originals. Should be a fun couple of sets!!!
My only question is.......just how many hobbies can one person have????????????????????????????
:D :D :D the one thing I have been pissed about. Barber Hrugg even though an OBVIOUS ORC is a hero. And has to be in a hero formation. Has its advantages but I think letting the heros lead little Rebellion squads is much, much, cooler. Very practical also, first thing I was mad about when I read through the Dungeons rulebook. Stupid heros.
maybe we can set a bug in someone's ear about making an errata page for official hero dual factions. Maboc the Bully: Orc Raiders, Bloddspiller: Elemental League, etc. Some of them are hard to put into a faction. Of course, house rules are ok too. :D
WooHoo! Four heroes and the equivalent of a unique MS, map (no warped tiles) and scenarios for the approximate price of two boosters? Christmas in September!
And how hard would it be to announce that it is the nature of the Hero faction to be aligned with another faction and either make "suggested" dual faction loyalties or just leave it to us to make assignments for the charter members of the set?
I've never been all that succesful out in the open with Rebellion or Conquest rules despite having numerous top-of-the-heap uniques like Magus Drac and Storm Golem. I'm more of a Dungeons-type player, and this turn by WK may be a turning point for me...

Not all Orcs are members of the Orc Raiders. Race and Faction are two different things. At least that's how I see it.
This first batch of heroes really calls for errata/optional dual faction list.
Certainly not all heroes can be asigned a faction but they would certainly look cool leading a rebellion pack of warriors. Just put togheter a band of orc raiders with Maboc upfront, maximum coolness. Or how about Morg backing up some artirellists (sp?), the dwarves with BPR units, the necropolis-looking guys with nightstalkers,
 Now this is what i'm saying....I've got only four more heros and i;ve got the whole set...Magespawn included....I was starting to get a little worried.....The only bad thing is that now i have to wait alllllll SUMMER...What a BUMMER!!!!:( I wish W.K. would release a little something to hold us over...I really like the dual factions...WooHoo...it's about time...LaTeRz
YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK!!! So when the Dragons Shadow looms overhead... Think your a rabbit & run for cover!!!! HaHaHa
I tend to think of the original Heroes like this; Hero figures are the characters that have decided to go it alone on epic journeys. They shucked thier original allegiances to go on quests, invade specific areas, and generally cause mayhem(or stop mayhem)
Heroes are those characters that grew up in thier factions, rose above their original limitations, and since then, have given up on cooperating because they have bigger and better plans...
