Sorry Dfazman that Demorilized ruling was my fault hehe. Im gonna ask to not play on those stupid table coverings anymore. Hmm also Nick probably isn't stupid like you said but since hes a close friend I have certain privligies hehe. Also since most of the Vancouver Area players (namely me) have stated personal opinions as well as names a bit too much, once disscussion is over I would recomend a deletion of the thread by the main poster. Or mabey im just perinoid.
I always have with me a large stash of glass beads that I used as damage counters back in my pokemon days. That way I always have enough counters for everyone, even if my opponent does not have enough for themselves. It is truly amazing though, how low someone will stoop to try and get the win. People take this game WAAAY too seriously sometimes.
Where is this infamous Venue? If you don't wanna post it here, can you PM me?
On topic, I think that you shouldn't be allowed to enter if you don't have more than 10 counters, a pair of dice, and a ruler. Of course a warlord like Balduran I who has a lot of extra rulers can loan them...
It just bugs me when someone comes into a match against me in a tournament and says:
"Hey, can I use your counters? How 'bout your dice? And your ruler?"
First, I have no problem with the things I have said about Nick getting back to him - I have said them to him already! As for the stuff about the venue, I think they need to hear that, too. I will talk to Blake some more in the future - right now I am too focused on nationals to fret about something that is basically some else's problem (making that venue run right). I am not a warlord there, I am a player.
Gurgi - I can talk to you about which venue next time I see you if you remember to ask me.
As for the whole "opponent asking for counters rule and dice" thing - I have been so irritated by it that I bring a seperate full set to loan, so I don't have to loan out my stuff to make a game I'm playing run smoothly. I'll tell you, though, if I was warlording one venue on a regular basis and this problem was chronic with an older player (like, post-puberty), I would warn him once and then tell him he can't play in the next tourney - you come prepared and on time or you don't play. Enforce that once and I assure you everyone will be prepared and on time from then on out.
Stormy, I don't want to delet the post because I feel it's kind of an important subject and I want people to be able to read everyone's advice on it just incase this happens to them. I will however ask that anyone who has used the persons name please go back and edit your post for the sake of that person. He is not a bad guy. I really only wanted this post to be a situational discussion, not a bashing on any person.
