I got to disagree with the earlier posts. Just because there are tie-breakers for the individual games doesn't necessarily mean those same ones are used for tournament tie-breakers.
The warlord should make sure everyone knows what tiebreakers are being used before playing starts, but that doesn't preclude a player that doesn't know asking.
I "don't let" people withdraw from games when I warlord, and I try to encourage them to play out the whole tournament if they want to quit between rounds. "don't let" is in quotes because it's not like I would physically stop someone from getting up and leaving, but I tell them that it isn't allowed. If someone were to quit a round, I would remove them from the tournament.
I read the victory conditions to all players before I ring the bell... The conditions were updated on the site long before the tournament.
One person left the item in the middle of the table surrounded by his figs and then claimed he did not know that the last person who held the item would be the winner.

Yes, if you quit a game, you quit the tourney. My point was if you quit, there is nothing you can do to force a player to play.
