sling a rammer and then a pyre/heavey rammer. I still stand by what I said.
How does Ml/Ram get 30 in? A) 3 ML Units. That is atleast 75 pts of your army. B) 2 ML units and a rammer that moves 10 plus. Well the cheapest your going to get that is around 86 pts.
To use the Ram warrior as you are talking about you would have to have 3 ml units to get him 30in. If you want to over extend yourself that much go right ahead. Now I my turn I smack a ram warrior with one action an go up 12-19 pts and you are still 30 in away. You have to rest because of the ML units. You throw a mounted rammer 30 in it will get captured.
To do what you want you are going to have to play at least
ML: 75pts
Ram: 48 pts
Healer: 15-22 pts
So roughly half your army is going to be a ML/Ram engine.
I'll take those odds any day of the week.
Barrel is right, 42up, you are counting far too much on the disruption capabilities of a Ram Warrior* whose defensive, reactive abilities are effective but lacks any offense inclination.
Pyre Spirit is a big threat to Corpheus, you are right about that, but the armies that have been designed thus far have means of dealing with him and much of ML/Ram effectively.
I could only foresee ML/Ram causing problems if it is in some kind of incredibly mobile force. I have yet to see ML/Ram that doesn't take a few turns to pick-up, set-back-down, and rest.
what i would do is pack a second bounder like a sislith tracker*** to fight the pyre.
Here's how i would do things:
Corphy
Centaur Champ
Centaur Lt***
Autumn lvl 1
Sislith tracker***
so the corphy can bound within the cover of the bodyguards (which also are bad-arse fighters as well) and be protected from rammers. If you wanted to, you could downgrade the champ to a lt*** and add a ***mancatcher (i think that fits)
corphy takes center stage, and moves with the 2 fell blocking up front in a inverted V (corphy inside). the tgh shade goes up behind corphy to block/protect his back for ram or harrasement.
horned just sit back as support near the shade and faith healer.
corphy shoots, fell blocks, shade at the back.
repeat every after other turn.
Hey Bshugg, I like your ideas, but I was wondering about putting in Marrow instead of the Mancatcher. I think the limited invisibility and quickness would be great! Do you think those two would be good to start builing around (add in two chargers, a rammer, and ML)? I haven't done the math to see what would fit, but I think those are the two I am going to start builing from.
Brad,
I would like to revive this thread, Since corphy?s was a poor kid?s unique, and easy to acquire. Do you have additional ideas since the ruling was changed? And ML/ram?s grip was tighten up?thanks?

My opinion since ML was changed on Corpheus? He is absolutely overpowered in the 300 pt format. With out any easy way to catch him, the opponent has to just run a big wall of LI, or just take the hits and suffer. At least its only 4 almost unstoppable damage a turn right?
My build right now is the one I worked with Flying_Moose for the War tournament:
It packs a lot of LE's though pumping up the price. You can still make an effective build for cheaper.
I think a good corpheus build needs:
Corpheus
second bounder to finish off what corpheus wounds and punish them when they chase after corph.
Charger to protect the bounders and take out Li blockers.
2nd charger or rammer
Healer
One with no LE's or uniques besides corph would be:
this can hold its own with anything out there in the 300 pt format, and kick some tail. Most armies will crumble facing something like this. the Nons are some of the more difficult to get, but substitutions can easily be made. The charger, rammer and healers can be wiggled around to fit other figs. Just make sure you hit 300 with it.
I think a fig moving 10"-12" with Corphy is a must....
I played him often and noticed that the Charger protecting Corphy dies almost every time...
Another good fig that works well with Corphy is the ***\** Fell Reaper....
