And Digger, he wasn't asking for yet another AmaDrac cookie-cutter army, he was asking if it was possible to build an army out of just dracs. It's possible. It's even possible to do a lot of damage with it. If you can't help, get out of the way.

Now, back to the subject. If you build a "standard" army (commander with grunts), then your "grunts" will likely be whelps, and you'll be running a mainly-melee army.

On the other hand, you can likely try a guerilla army (see the archetype dictionary) composed of just Drac Uniques. It'd be hard to do, but possible.

well i just dunno about the whelps they don't really help that much with only 2 damage they might capture but thats only for one or two clicks w/o battle fury i personnally would use the cheap unqies or maybe the thralls since they can also force somone in btb with range(they have like 4 in. right i haven't looked @ them in a while) also i am pmin grave so sorry if i took up some space the only reason i am mad at him is when all he posted was a insult

Whelp master moves it all 12 inches, as well as adding to group attack. Mortis kills whatever it touches. Whelps support morits. Neophant acts as harasser, alernate fighter.

A Whelp Master, some Whelps, and a Neophant is a decent 200 point army. It's main problem is its low damage, but You take what you can get when you have so few figures to choose from

You could use uniques in this kind of army like a whelp master, demiphant, magna, neophant, and more.... Or you could go with the scalesworn thrulls and the whelps.

An all Drac army, is it possible?

Of course it is possible, anything is possible. Weather or not it will do well is a different story. Right now an all Drac army would be possible, but would do rather poorly. Yet after Uprising comes out an all Drac army will be even more possible and could actually fare rather well.

If you want to go for an all melee approach, then here is something that you could use:

1 Mortis Draconum (78)
4 Whelp Monk*** (30 each= 120)
-----------------------------
198 pts.

Or you could go all range, which with this army is ok:

1 Amazon Draconum (108)
3 Whelp Alchemist*** (29 each= 87)
1 Imp* (5)
-----------------------------
200 pts.

These of course are only 200 pt. armies. Now if you wanted to go 300 pts. that would open up many many more options, such as the Whelp Master. To to mention figures such as the Eldritch Draconum.

The only thing the Dracs are missing is a charger, so until then this is the best you can do.

I don't know about a good 200pt draconum army but Ive got a great all draconum team for 300pts that got me first place.

Mortis draconum 78 pt
2 whelps* 38pt

total 197pts

just make sure there in hindering so they all can get a defence of 20 for a range
