I just see on the German website that there are also tournaments played with promo figures. So it should be playable and maybe there are different kind of figures known as "promo"-figues? However...@BrutalDeluxe What does "LE" means?
actualy I have two hero's that say demo on them one is priest wynderferner, not to much different on him cept his point costIll have to pull himout and check but!My other hero Mage knig almetlan is so different from his real fig his special abilities include
Magic lev
sweep
limited invi
magic enhance.
hes around 71 or 72 points I forget Ill get both there stats up tommorow after I get home and check them out.
I also have a demo gatelord who is so sick fierce its just wrong he has a smaller arc in front but his stats would make the dragonslayer cringe like a 19 with invul and he's also more exp point cost.On a side not emy demo gatelord is the one devilman painted a long time ago on this site and its amazing looking.!!!!
I dont know why fanpro calls them "promo". Promo actually means promotional, which are give-away figures when you introduce something new. I think the lingo comes from Magic.
Mage Knight only has "demo" figures, like the ones mentioned earlier, or the 2.0 figure which was given away at Gencon to introduce 2.0.
Anyway, LE figures ("promos") come in different rarities, from Levels 3 to 6, with 6 beinbg the rarest.
There used to be rules for concerning the rarities, for example Level 6 LEs were only supposed to be given away for winning a big tournament at a large convention and thus were only produced in smaller numbers.
Nowadays you get the newer LE`s just for participating in the monthly historical tournaments. And as nobody can tell which LE`s will be given out this way, its very difficult to judge their value.
Actually, the playing value is what determines the value of a LE today.
