hmm.. yeah, and it should have attacks on the side, like 4 cannons, 2 on each side, but it must have a figure on each of the cannons, totalling 4, to be able to attack with the cannon..
Do remember in the new Tourny rules (providing they stay the same), that you cannot do a first turn strike into your opponent's deployment area.... so if you put them 3" away from that area, your opponent has the opportunity to orcslap you for being so close.
This SA looks very cool, imagine a powerful range figure with Submerge and Aquatic. Looks like if it is used right, can be deadly, but seems like it may be very hard to use at all.
Originally posted by chaos_hydra I know why some of these abillities are so power-full. Because the game goes much quicker if you are able to draw blood in the first few rounds.
BTW, you said the first turn imunity. Same goes for the submerged person too. So, the "orc-slaping" won't begin until a few turns later.
you have to be in your starting area for first turn immunity to apply.
Gee, wouldn't you run into problems if a fig had this ability and wasn't movement type Wave? (The ability says ANY water terrain, but because it's not movement type Wave deep water is illegal terrain...)
The other SAs are devided up among the different types, but it looks like all speed types share SAs. Seems this SA would have minimal use if the movement type isn't Wave (and remember, it looks like 2.0 dosen't have Aquatic for 2.0 figs, it's provided on a 1.0 conversion sheet for 1.0 figs).
Anyway... interesting to see this water version of Infiltrate. I think 2.0 Xandressans might actually see play. ;)

On another note, why do you guys have to spell it out. Everyone knows who your talking about. The X. guys.
in response to JFarlander, my guess is that on the SAC it will appear in a special category underneath only the wave movement type. this way only figures with aquatic can have it. similar to how arcing fire (i BELIEVE) will only appear on the bow attack type. i think. i have no idea though, because im not psychic.
What Jrakedanecro says is what I’ve said all along – the amount of variables on the figs gives WK a whole lot of latitude when it comes to defining SA.
(Faction and or Sub-Faction) + Attack Type + Movement Type + Color and Shape
So, an Atlantis Guild fig with a Sword Attack Type, a Horseshoe Movement Type, and a Grey Square over the Movement Value could mean “Old School Bound”, with that defined exactly as Bound is today. But a Dark Crusader fig, with a Sword Attack Type, a Horseshoe Movement Type, and a Grey Square over the Movement Value could mean “New Bound”, with a completely different definition.
(BTW, it doesn’t have to be this “complex” – nothing says one has to use all the variables to define SA. Using just, say Faction + Attack Type would accomplish the same thing in this case. The above is just to illustrate how much really is available to WK, notwithstanding the “oh, it’s just impossible to keep the old figs viable because SA/factions/whatever will be so different” sentiment that floats around.)
It’s the way to not nerf 1.0 figs, while still creating the new factions, abilities, etc.
Of course, the lack of any such word from WK makes me doubt that they’ll use the options that are available.
