Wow, there are realmers other then me that love conquest?

I played in a 20,000 point Conquest game a few weeks ago, it was NUTS. Basically, everyone was told to pick a faction and bring as much stuff as you could to it.

It was Atlantis and Knights Immortal vs. Orc, Black Powder, and Elemental, with Necro, Shyft, Solonavi, and Draconum being loners.

I played a 95% Atlantis 5K army with a few Knights to act as bait :D

I had to leave around 6 after being there for only 8 hours since 10, (it went until late at night) but in that short timeframe it was still some of the most fun I ever had playing MK.

I love Conquest I just cant get battles going or they just shut down from people wandering off................

I tried playing 10000 pts. but it was insane, We had a 2m x 2m table... start: 5 formation of 10 crystal mbldessmann my part, his turn: 3 formations of 10 fighting automatom... then we masacred I lost.

My friends and I play conquest and love it. We are currently gearing up for a 3000 pt battle. I am constructing a 4 x 8 table for play. We also build terrain for the battles.

There will be conquest even if we have to make up rules ourselves for 2.0. We used to be anti house rules, but 2.0 may make us rethink this policy.

Tell me what you think about this house rule we have tried a few times. The guys I play with like big games but only can play for a few hours. We looked at changing number of actions, but decided to make the actions do more. We allow combat formations of 10 or less. Within the formation they can do whatever combat they like. For example. 10 guys, 2 melee attack a figure in base with them, then 1 guy hits the guy in front of him, then the next 3 guys group to range attack, then the next attack a different fig then the last three group to melee attack. Now all the normal rules for range and melee combat are in effect, but we simply combine everything into one action. and one dice roll.

My brother, some of his friends, and I had a huge game that never ended. We all used all of our figures(regardless of points.)
There were about 5 of us I think. I'm not sure though. After about 15 or 16 hours we just called it quits because it looked like it would take at least 36 more hours to finish. We started taking pictures from above every half hour(starting at hour 5) so we could see how the battle progressed, but ran out of film that was left over from graduation the previous day. We haven't developed the film yet though. I'll try to post some pictures when we get it developed. It was pretty fun.

i won yahoo, 1200 pts of pure faction. i chose solonavi and my exwife chose draconums. i smoked her. hahahaha, got her back for beating me in dungeons. she played against a all orc army and lost as well, ha. i still love conquest.

I'm still playing conquest. Our venue has a 1200 point conquest every month or so (had one last weekend). It's a nice break from the regular unlimited tourneys. I enjoy the ability to play more figures and higher pointed warriors. I have a "standard" conquest army that I use as my core and then make changes depending upon what I think I will be facing.

Any idea what's going to happen to conquest come November ?

suposedly conquest will be included under the shelter of the new 2.0 rules.. mayhaps on some scaleable system... who knows but i think they might release another conquest rules pack wiht 4 new siege waepons and three LE's... all under the 2.0 system... thou that might just be my want fo new orc siege weapons speaking

and im working on makeing a 10,000 point all orc army right now.. and i only want to ahve one DBOC (thou i have 4 HOST's) the rest is al melee and small firing squads....

Conquest is all my friends and I play. We have so many figures (all of us have 2000+ figures) and we like to play as many as possible, we play 2000 point to 5000 point games.

I also have noticed that very few conquest events are being run anymore. Which makes me wounder if it is dead.

I just finished my 8 day 10000 pts last man standing Conques-2v2!
There were 20000pts of figs on the large battleground (9ft x 6ft)so almost all the uniques from the game were played and it was a blast!!! My partner and I won with only 8 figs left; Regal, a **Imp(whom I call BattleImp2000), a Shield Golem, a ***Troll Gunner and some other stuff.

We played against a OR/BPR/NS/SHYFT alliance, while we had Solonavi, Draconum, AG, EL, KI and some other factions.

It was soo cool!!!
