I'm wondering if the War priestess is really that necessary... haven't seen her in actions, but I would tend to shy away from her simply because of her point cost...
I deally, I would much rather play a High elves army based on 1-2 big ranged combat figures protected by platoons of High Elven Warriors, and Cloud Warriors. Here's something to work on :
A weak Noble Archer is 13 points exactly, plus it would give you a nice dual ranged attack to complement your master archer. Sure she's not elven lords, but she's still high elves. :D
unfortunetly, Fedrin Starsdawn is not tournament legal (its a "demo" figure) so you should probably upgrade it to a Kierin Starsdawn and upgrade something else.

Formation 1:
2x *** High Elven Warrior
1x *** High Elven Archer
1x ** High Elven Archer
LE Kierin Starsdawn w/ silvercloud
Loners:
*** Faith Healer
** Rock Griffin

I will play the War Priestess for awhile to test her out. If Kiernan needs to jump forward, she can step in and share her 17 defense. The archers just have 16's, which is good, but one better can sometimes save the dizzay!
Well, we will step this thread up to "Intermediate Elven Lords" Because we really want to make this work, and so far, it hasnt!
What we are lacking is any figure in the Elven Lords that can do 4 damage...we just dont have it! So what do we do? Look to 1.0!
Our ranged combat is working pretty well, so lets not change that:

The whole crew gets an 18 defense, which aint bad. They really need to get up to the center objective so they can pound away, as Kiernan only has that 10" range. No biggie though, as we will also be packing:
Temple Lord
2x *** Elven Recruits
300 points on the nosey.
To lead the fray! This is what cocky elves are all about! Forced march to run up to claim that objective, Magic retaliation on the Temple Lord so you know he slaps back! hee hee!! The Recruits are great, 8 attack for 2 damage for three clicks..not the best bodyguards, but not the worst, right?

Kierrieans a loner with four damage with the bow precision looks nice. I think its precision still having a nice range with bound doing five damage. 13 attack is nice.He snipes people. He gets away from the rest of the crew because of karruboom. when i know hes gonna die i rush him around the most enemys possible so the boom is effective. The archers move together as a formation staying withen twelve inches of the middle objective shooting whoever goes on it. The warriors stay on the nearest objective guarding it. If somebody plops down on the center objective with gf or something the cloud warrior bases it and attacks. I take the warriors off the objective and head for the center bring the archers back to the first guarding it.
All these figs are easy to come bye. It seems beginer enough.
The Formation goes for the throat, not hesitating to use Reckless to kill things. If need be seperate the Marauder to harass.
I absolutely love the ***Ubs. 11 attack means they will usually hit, and Crushing Blow means even if they aren't willing to use Reckless, their damage is still very considerable. Try not to get too much damage on the ***Ub-Khans, because cursed means they will take a click after healing.
The *Ub-Khan is the range that I think in neccesary in every army.
I got a bag full of elves from a good buddy of mine for Christmas, so here is the army:
3x *** High Elf Warrior
in front of
3x ** High Elf Archers
this "formation" may take two actions to move, but it gives the whole group 17 defense, which is nice.

I imagine that I could spend that 35 points more wisely, but I wanted to keep the crew 2.0.
Thanks! I have no Soaring, which is a shame, but I hope to move the formation to the near objective, and pelt the heck out of whatever hits the center objective, with Kiernan jumping around as he will.
I may use the Fen Swamp or other movement reducing Domains to slow down the enemy in order to get a few good shots in. I know that it will hurt Kiernan, but if I can get a shot off or two, it will be worth it.
Cyrus is definitely a weird one. I am unsure as to his design intent.
His subfaction is Temple Masters, so what I am thinking is that you would run him around with 6 *** High Elven Warriors and make the new Death Star:
86 points: Master Cyrus
156 points: 6x High Elven Warriors
well, that doesnt quite work, as Cyrus has Stormfire, so still needs line of fire. It would be an awful army anyway. Its the Quickness that confuses me. Maybe you he is the guy that runs back and forth between formations to help out whoever needs it, but his speed is not too fast.
hmmm....Maybe there is a relic combo for him that works well....he has the wand type, so maybe he gets the Oracular Codex, and gets Strong Fliered to the near objective, hanging out, gaining extra actions and taking shots where he can. You are wasting quickness then, though...
First post on MK realms. Just started playing mk 2.0.
My force is 100% elven lords- only 2.0 figures.
I used Cyrus last night- I was quite impressed with his defence of 18 and decent attack. I wanted to use him again and was hoping that someone had some good suggestions on building a force around him.
Yeah,he's a cool looking fig and I want to use him. I was wondering if maybe he's intended for a conquest game. His quickness and leadership would give a major activation advantage, but after buying him for a 300 point game you wind up with more activations than units.... I like his hat and stick.
By the way. I haven't been on the realms very long, but I see RobRob contributing insightful, flame-free posts and threads all the time. I don't even know you, but keep up the good work (especially the Elf Lord tips!)
What EL Unique are people planning on bringging to MK Faction War? I have the choice between Kieran & Cyrus!

As yet I have been unable to get General Vale in singles. So assuming that I don't get him in the meantime, which out of 2 Uniques would fare best in a sealed event?
