Not sure if there was anything else, it didn't really matter.
Essentially, he zipped in, smashed my unique, and zipped out. Then proceeded to zip in and smash and zip out fo the rest of the match. It's the ultimate in hit and run cheese. His Disruptor let's him handle soaring stuff, and he's doing some insane damage with the Rage Hammer. I was wiped out clean, and so was everyone else.
Vapor, what mounts were used by Fireflower & Shale ? Can't deploy without a mount.

Sounds like folks at KublaCon got caught unprepared. This is one of the better MoM armies, but it is still insanely vulnerable to getting killed with Domains and can be beaten by good terrain placement and smart play. Also, the Inferno Domain on top of either his Wylden Forest or Grasslands will make for a very short game unless someone has some shallow water on the board.
Oh this army spanked mine because I had already played my Inferno and Open Terrain domains and was only left with Blasted Lands which got canceled by his Wylden Forest. Anyway, it was still a power to be reckoned with.
He didn't win the tournament though. A Drowning Zeph army took out his Sky Dragon on the second turn and left his three riders floundering and demolished by what was left of the army after the Rage Hammering Pike gave him on the first turn.

Well, smack myself upside the head. I was completely unaware of that. I just naturally assumed that if a mount couldn't deploy without a rider then a rider couldn't deploy without a mount. It has not come up at the venue where I play so I never deeply researched the issue. Note to self ... reread rules and all FAQs before Nationals.
I guess the only reason you would want to do this is in case you want a specific relic in play and the rider is the best wielder. In normal situations the riders are too vulnerable without their attack modifier and mount.
