Okay, quick question Draddog, the WK site says Sorcery Sneak Peaks start Wednesday August 21, is that a misprint and they are starting next week on July 21st? I cannot imagine starting sneak peeks only a month from release. Besides, the 21st of August is a Saturday.
Cool, we get sneak peeks next week. I was so down on the lack of information and now it is coming in waves, thank you so much!

Huh? What are you refering too, the release schedule or the introduction of mechanics? I'm assuming the later. Reponse: They did say when 2.0 was released that every set would include new mechanics. I for one like the mechanics that have been added each set so far, and it would have been near impossible to include them all in the base set. It isn't stale, they wanted to add more than could be added in 1 set, so have staggered the addition of mechanics.

They used to come faster than that as I recall.
Actually, this will be 3 sets in 1 year. And as I used to always say ..... Slow Down. !! I thought 1.0 releases were too fast as well.
Also, I think there was some difference with 1.0 and 2.0. Each of the 3 releases of 2.0 have significantly changed the game dynamics with new SA's, proficiencies, relics, items, domains, FAQ's, changes to existing SA's, spells, counter-spells, constructed terrain, etc.
I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I'm just saying I think there should be a longer time between releases so that mere gaming mortals like myself can digest all of this, and take advantage of the changes.
So, I'm assuming there's nothing stopping a fig from having a lot of Spell Elements out at a time? It's just a matter of browsing to a new spell and casting it?
Some spells are cast once, and after they're cast you need to bookmark a new spell the next turn (they're put face down at the top of the stack). That's a neat way of adding a cost for casting.
I love having new mechanics in every expansion. The :wand: side gets a much needed boost (hopefully golems are next). Counterspell does not seem too difficult so that will encourage people to field more wand figures. Can't wait for more info. :)

Pick apart my response as you see fir. ;)
JF, I don't pick anyone's response's apart. I think everyone has a right to their opinion, as long as it's not of a harrassing nature.
Bottomline, I'm not commenting on the mechanics, but the speed of the releases. Personally, I would be comfortable with 1 every year, or possibly 2 every 3 years.

How long do you think is good between sets? Personally, I like the current schedule. It seems like a long time waiting for the next release, but it isn't too long for me.
It's entirely possible that every set after the rotation won't introduce a new major mechanic, it's just that they had a lot right at the beginning they wanted to get into the game.
And actually (not directed at NobleWarrior), the release time's not any longer than 1.0 as far as I can tell. I don't know the releases of Sinister and earlier, but after that they were an average of 5 months.
Originally posted by Akuda I don't think that is a factions symbol but rather a spell type symbol. Else that would mean only one faction could use that spell.
Akuda
Actually, it is a subfaction symbol. The article mentioned that spells will have requirements, and the poster that was scanned in a few weeks ago clearly showed a spell that only the AE could use.
Spell types are determined by a line under the name, that has the type spelled out.
