If I used a mount with these rules I would use the ** River charger on the EL battle horse. Thunderblow would severaly weaken most dudes under fifty and the high defense would be good on the Horse and Charger. The Horse having counterattck would see his share of action. One more thing. Can you use speed special abilities when you use quickness? Or am I thinking of double time? :confused:
Anyway, another thing I would do is put in a weak flame priestess. If you go up against a fodder army you can switch riders and do alot of damadge with stormfire from a distance. the only thing that could stop that would be * drwarven axemen who has :mi:, but then you have the River Charger in case of that. :D
These are just some ideas I had rereading all the posts. I agree with Kenntak that Bluedragon should start a cavalry thread. I would like to see some stratgies for mounts and riders.
i would go for a swarm of weak golem familiars... they keep going, and going, and going...
i would also probably include the tough leech troll, she has charge, and can also pack quite a punch in combat situations. (Of course not with the golem familiars... seeing as they are golems)
The tough technoprentice is also nice for cheap bounding.
Well golem familiars do keep going, but they rely to much on demorilized. I like to play haunted graveyard sometimes when I think I am facing an army of these dudes that way it just forces you to destroy parts of your army. I like to use Frost Minions with that combo just because of the no demoralize.
Tough Leech Troll would be good too, but with the Frost Minions I would suggest a blood shaman. That way you don't have to worry about a swarm army over running you when your healer can fly.
Bluedragon has it right with calvalry. I still think that the river charger and flame priestess with frostminions and maybe a couple Technoprentices would be a devestating army with these rules.
