im so happy! i love skydancer (cuz BPR are da best! :p ) and this will work so great...and you know they gave it great thought...khamsin surgeon woohoo!
Keep the cav units within 8" of eachother at all times with this AC out your salamanders never run away (plus you can submerge all 3 of the cav units and infiltrate your orc)
To answer the question a few posts ago, it doesn't necessarily mean there will be new riders since the orc wolfkin is on the cohort list. Plus, I think that if they were having more riders in a set, they would announce it to try to hype up the set.
Never felt comfortable with Soulmare until I saw this. Now there is no worry in one concentrated attack on my rider making Soulmare gallop of into the sunset without ever being given a chance to unleash her powers.
Elemental River Charger and Soulmare--95 points,
Both have Smite--River charger 12 inch Mounted Charges 12 attack+1 from Soulmare gang-up. That 13 should hit just about anything with an average roll, dealing 4 damage to all figures in base with the target. Next turn, you are going to push to smite with a 11 attack 4 damage from the River Charger or a 10 attack 3 damage smite from Soulmare. If only one of them is knocked out of smite, the other can probably finish off the figures that go hit on the original Mounted Charge. Your opponent will most likely have to use all his actions to try and prevent major damage to his army.
This combination cost 95 points. You have over 200 points off army to move up into position while your crippled opponent is using all her actions to deal with RC/Soulmare.
Anyone notice that Darkfen Blade shares almost an identical name to the LE preorder relice, Fen Blade? Im thinkin its most likely a shyft, or maybe a magespawn. The Steppe dragoon im thinkin more orc or BPR, but the name doesnt give it away as much as the other fig :p
Man... BPR desperately needed this! Nothing like getting dismounted from Skydancer and watching 54 points heard right over to my opponent.
It doesn't actually change the intelligence of the mount, does it? In other word, can I dismount and then make an attack with the riderless mount at some point?

Actually, skittish mounts are removed from the game and not eliminated. Your opponent doesn't get points for them.
Of course, having them just disappear on you still isn't fun.
I'd been hoping for this type of Skittish adjustment since just after the Dark Riders pre-release tourney. I've avoided all skittish mounts, save Skydancer, since inception, 2 for 1 figure loss is too risky.
Now:
My poor Grolkar can enter battle with the Wolfkins, too bad Crox can't ride him...
Khamsin-BPR Chocobos defending mutant Talon Warriors...
At most, I was hoping there would be something that said if the mount and rider had the same faction, then the skittish mount wouldn't leave, but this card is even better!
