If they (CS, Shadowrun Duels, and Creepy Freaks) aren't killed but are out of the production schedule what word should we use? I thought suspended was appropriate.
Magister's Reply
That's fair. The way it was put just sounded like we'd officially shelved the lines you refer to or put them out to pasture in some formal way, which isn't the case.
Magister is, I have come to discover, an absolute GOD of PR spin. He's insanely gifted at saying things that are true, but present a completely different meaning. Consider:
put them out to pasture in some formal way
Note the subtle, but critical, word. We all know they haven't done anything FORMAL. Doesn't mean they haven't done it behind the scenes.
And before everyone jumps on me for being negative, consider that the above statement applies 100% as much to Creepy Freaks as it does to CS. Does anyone really think CF has a chance in hell of seeing another production run? That should be the standard for non-game-specific comments, I think. If you can apply it to CF, then it may apply to SRD or CS as well. If not, you're probably just being optimistic. Which there's nothing wrong with, really, it just doesn't make for good signs.
