I'd be interested to know the faction choices.

I know one of the World Fellowship winners chose Nova Cat, but I don't know the rest of the chosen factions.

But they dont choose a faction as much as they just dont pay recruitment cost for the chosen faction.

I guess Ian will take Highlanders, Marc-Andre I guess Kurita. Tillman I guess Spiritcat/Novacat and I have no clue what Lord V will take.

And I have no clue what the fellowship lance mates will take.

in any case, i just hope they get to come out with reproduction mechs from dark age, but with more competitive stats and correct scaling to note. aside from the vulture and thor i'd really like to field a legionaire, storm crow and a jupiter once more. that wouldn't be a long shot now, would it?

i guess this would be apropriate for the unrestricted lance.

Guys, it wasn't Unrestricted, it was FELLOWSHIP Worlds. Same basic ruleset as the World Championships applied.

Okay, so now we know the mechs. Who chose which one?

Well, personally if I were Marc, I'd go with the Daishi and make it a 0 recruit Kurita ;)

My guess is the champs from the 2 respective tournaments got the new sculpts/mechs. Now the question that I more interested in is what are the gear cards?

I think it was more a factor of the winners got to pick first.

There are several other real characters. Not exactly obvious but Kev Nostra was Kevin Goddard (KevinG/Draddog) and I believe that his wife was also surreptitiously slipped in as Kym Nova Cat. These are less obvious and can be denied because the name doesn't totally match but Kev said this on the old Q&A.

Then there's Bargain Steve (Stephen P Froenhoffer) who is (editor?) of a magazine (Inquest?).

Isn't the ugly guy in a Mad Cat Mk IV another tribute to a magazine guy (Richard "Dickie" Wojcieowski)?

Everybody forgets Julie "Julz" Kolchak as well.

For the record, even though I finished first in worlds Fellowship and 4th in Worlds, I am only going to be in the Worlds Fellowship pack. The 4th place in the worlds pack dropped to 5th place.

We got to choose which mech we wanted from the 4 listed... I assume that happened in place order. I got to pick first at any rate. I did _not_ choose the new mech. :)

As for factions, we all gunslingers, but got to choose a 0 recruit to our favorite faction(s).

I don't know how much else I am allowed to say publicly. I have seen the initial stats, pilot ability and paint master for my mech and am very happy with the way it looks. It is shaping up to be everything I had hoped for it to be.

All I can say is:
Mmmm.....Daishi (or Dire Wolf as Clan purists prefer).

My mistake. When I first read the press release and it stated that the winners got to choose a mech. I thought they actually got to choose the sculpt. Didn't realize that they would have to pick from a pre-arranged list.

That would be a great way to work yourself into the previous fiction. Just make the pilot a 23rd-in-line-for-the-throne member of the Kurita royal family and have them piloting Hohiro's old Daishi...
