Someone cracked the joke last night that Natasha was like Terrell. Someone you absolutely want on your team for their abilities but can't afford on your team because of their politics.

This was coming from a die hard CBT player. It cracked us all up.

I wish I had typed up the fluff from the back of the card. They did a good job of writing up her history. A nod to her clan career by putting her in the daishi. A nod to her merc career by showing no favoritism to any particular faction. The only other way I could think of doing it without tromping on either half of her life was to make a pre clan invasion version in a warhammer and a post clan invasion in a CW daishi.

I still remember playing the scenarios from the Tales of the Black Widow when it first came out. I wish I still had it in print. :(

Why couldn't they just give her a +3 in her own mech and let her ignore the assault modifier too? I'm ok with her ignoring all of the other stuff too but seriously... Shes just not up to snuff. And Enrico Fernali is cheaper... for the same stats... It makes me sad... But we knew deep down that Kai would suck... Phelan was only a +1/2/1 and they were equals for goodness sakes

Dude, I would gladly voice out my support for a proper JF historical hero. Even Horse or Joanna would be a cool. The latter must have been the angriest and unconquerable mechwarrior in the universe... The Wolves (who are getting way too much attention, and old-school SW players such as myself are quite unaccustomed to this) need a worthy adversary.

On the other hand (I'm a contrary sucker) CJF has a plethora of... everything else. Really. I mean, every Clan Heavy mech. Every Elemental variant. Transports, tanks, arty, infantry, mechs, VTOLs, you name it, CJF has either the best or one of the best in the game. CJF could sit out a year and still rock the casbah (this is, of course, assuming they don't turn the game upside down like they did with AoD).

I'd say Kurita needs love. Davion, Steiner, need some love. Maybe Liao, not as familiar with them at present. NC and RD need nons.

If WizKids came out tomorrow and said the next set will have 25% CW non-uniques and a CJF star (akin to the RotS command lance or the NC set or the HK, etc) I'd consider it great. Absolutely first rate. God (and Kelly) only know if they will.

I agree. I think they should make Victor next.... As long as they make him a G/S and recruit at a high cost to all factions to show when he was leading the multi house force against the Clan Home worlds..

I don't think Vic would have recruit to all. Recruit to most but not all.

I think some older pilots would be better. Dan Allard would be nice. Or maybe Lori or Grayson.

Nope everyone he was fighting for all the houses. LOL see how this type of thing can snowball. If you do it for one to let everyone use it then you must do it for of them....sorry that is just the way to be fair.

and G33K, just because one of the top dogs of wk gives a reason does it mean that the reason is good enough or right. Natasha should recruit to CW for free.

I dunno, I just don't see how any of this is going to lead to a FAQ on the pilot card. You can post the biggest wall of text full of CBT character history but that's not going to change anything. The designer of the card (Kelly) has already explained her choice and she's sticking to it, honestly I want to know why you're still complaining about an issue you can't change.
