For a guy unfamiliar with the lit - how did Tara Biship meet her maker? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I think Bishop died in one of the books where they are fighting the falcons.

It's one of the books I missed ,but it was against the falcons. They don't say she dies,but make referrences to where shes being treated for injuries and the place gets demolished by the falcons.

It's in Blood of the Isle. Malvina goes crazy after Aleks is killed and nukes any base she can find.

If only Campbell had given Malvina the axe too before the rest of the falcons could rescue her. (pun intended) (for anyone who didn't read the book, Campbell piloted a Hatchetman)

She doesn't literally nuke any base she can find.

Tara Bishop gets injured fighting the Jade Falcons on Skye and is sent to a hidden command post near New London. Said base is eventually attacked by a Falcon assault trinary (and defended solely by a lance or two of light vehicles and twenty-two personnel) and no one escapes. No prisoners were taken and the staff of the base is dead, as is Skye's Prefect. (Blood of the Isle, p241)

Though some folks will tell you that there's still a chance Tara Bishop is alive and that until we get solid confirmation that she is dead there's still hope. I wouldn't count on it.
