My best win, IMO, was in a Conquest tourny where Kermit was on the line. It was 2,000 points, and as my collection was rather small at the time, I was running 2 IRHG's and a VSD along with a Striker, Magus Anendu, and some other filler stuff. My opponent was playing a lot of high power stuff: a formation of Solo uniques, one of Dracs, and some other power stuff like an Am Drac. Throughout the game he had wailed on my Striker, so it was on its last 2 clicks, and killed some other stuff -- about 200 points worth. I had crippled most of his Solo's, but I hadn't killed anything big, just a few harassers. All of a sudden, time runs out, and I have one turn to make up the loss. My Striker was in base with his Hiero with a token on it. I, in my stupidity, push, thinking I'll kill the Striker, but I realize he has one click left, so I have to roll for it. I make it, and my IRHG's pound his Hiero for 14 clicks. With my last actions, my VSD spots an Am Drac in range, runs up to it, and tries to eat it in one bite. I roll a critical hit, and she misses Dodge! The dragon gulps her down. In one turn, I was able to make up my loss, and I took home Kermit. Gotta love the dice :)
I still play and love 1.0. I do feel the solonavis from sinister are over rated. While they look cool I am a firm believer in strenth in numbers. I had a 700pt troll army vs all five original solonavies. I had
6 troll artillerist
2 medicine trolls
( my bad)
troll chiefton
troll knight
thunderdoom troll
and finished it up with the brawlers
I tore those solonavies up twice.
My cousin would hit my artillerist and I would heal them instantly,he never knew what hit em once my big boys got in the mix.I was very surprised and very glad.
I was just wondering if anyone else had the same feelings as strategy as me. Or would you rather just have a bunch of uniques on the board. I love to mix it up and use figures I never really use. Ever if it is to get the dust off.
I bought 126 minis off of Ebay and all of them were 1.0, so me and my friends just use my collection because I am the only one with MK minis.

This is a swarm army, with the Nercomancer+Grave robber chilling in the back with the Taskmaster protecting them.
I would usually support that with Elemental League Cav on both of the wings. Sometimes I opted for a slightly different plan and would mix it up with something else though.
That's not how you do that. This army won me more tourny's up until 2.0 came out.

the artys and shamen move together, then the next turn the magus and crystal dudes go. move & levi a bladeslinger up to the enemy then close in with the trolls. Carnage ensues :)
Why do people use the *** Troll Artillerist? I know that the ** is a huge improvement over the * which justifies dishing out additional points but why would you pay the extra 15 to increase from ** to ***?

Well the defense went from 14 to 15, The extra click of life, Plus the regen spot being 6 clicks down instead of 5. So if you got hit with a stormy who shot 4 and was enhanced twice, he was on his regen spot :)

heres the plan i will make 6-8 power 200 point armys then u can all choose match ups i will play them out with a top player from canada 'back in the day' playing something like 6 games switching who plays with the armys each game and post the results ...... give me a day or so to make some armys
