Originally posted by cdaniel There were 41 people in the sealed event and 39 in the Constructed, so over all maybe 60 unique players.
Actually a lot of the sealed players dropped to play constructed. Nicely run tournaments by the way. What ended up winning in constructed? We are discussing it in my top eight post.

There was like 16-20 left in sealed when we started the Constructed, so that is how I came up with 60 overall players. I should be finished with the complete write-up either late this evening or tomorrow.
Originally posted by harles2000 Congrats on the tourney, Doom is very good. I figured alot more people would be playing brotherhood but maybe people are seeing that they are solid but not great. We test approx 100-150 games a week and we found doom and FF to be top notch.
thats just silly, you cant say doom is 1 of the best just cus it won the FIRST event ever, with a whopping THIRTY-NINE people. Of course if enough ppl played doom it had a big chance of winning in an event with 39 people. at the 1st event ever i wonder how many ppl were actually clear with the rules. Also how many ppl actually have all of what they need. i've opened countless of packs and i only have 1 savage beatdown =/. im sure im not the only 1.
but all that aside congratulations to every1 who did well.
The game, at this moment, is really about controlling your opponents big beater while you deliver your own.
Doom does this the best.
Mystical Paralysis does that to a "T".
Puppet Master follows suit.
The two together makes for some uncomfortable turns.
Sure maybe not everyone has "all" the cards yet. I bet a good majority did though. If you are willing to travel a distance to compete then you should make sure you are VERY CONFIDENT in your build.
I find it pretty hard to believe that anyone would travel and pay to compete in something that they are not very confident in.
I know that FF and Doom are great because of all the testing we have done and we are at no shortage of cards. How do I know that the TNB decks are solid but not great because of testing. We have a group of 6 players on our team and we build so many different decks and test them a minimum of 20 games each unless its really a horrible build.
your awesome harles. Your 6-man group of vigorous playtesters are sure to break the game, and win all the pro circuit stops. The best part about your group is you as the representative, and your "i have a decklist, but i'm not telling" 9-year old psych-out strategies. You and your team are a credit to this game.
i would also like to add that i too have a really good deck that i can't talk about. i have tested it in a about 12,956 games and it has won 96.4% of the time. no joke.
lol foil, thats funny cause my secret deck that I cant tell anyone about has an even better win percentage!! out of 11935 games now I have won 97.1% of them!!! Im so going to own you at the ptq. nyahnyahnyah!
