1) How in the world does Amazo have hypersonic speed and running shot at the same time?
2) Hypersonic speed movement includes the attack; you can consider it the same as Running Shot (or Charge) except you get to keep moving after you attack.
Blu: absolutely correct, characters with hypersonic speed never need to break away. When they get a hypersonic speed action, they move 0 or more spaces, make a close or ranged attack, and then move zero or more spaces to finish the action.

As was stated, unless you are playing a weird scenario that enables a character to obtain multiple powers on their dial at once, a character won't have HSS and Running Shot together. A character with HSS can use it to move away AND attack (they don't need running shot if they have HSS).

Amazo can carry a figure while doing option 1 of HSS, yes. And he'll follow all the normal rules for carrying, which means that he must pick the figure up at the very beginning of movement, and put the figure down after he has finished moving entirely. In terms of HSS's first option, this means that he will still be carrying the friendly figure during his attack, as the attack occurs during movement, and won't actually set the figure down until after he has finished moving post-attack.
Even if he chooses not to move after the attack, he cannot put the figure down prior to attacking. This means that the figure he is carrying will not actually be on the field when he is attacking. Carrying an Enhancement figure, for example, will not allow him to benefit from Enhancement, as the figure will not be adjacent to him when he is attacking.
This is expressly different from Charge and Running Shot. With those powers, you are attacking after you have finished moving, and so you must put a carried figure down before attacking. Because HSS has you attack during movement, the figure is still carried during the attack.
So, if I understand this right, Amazo can carry, say Invisible Woman, for 6 squares, attack a thug, then finish with 4 more movement? Since movement is not done until AFTER the attack, he would finish moving, then put IG down?
Or was my first assessment right, and I would have to stop immediately where I attacked at?
If version one is correct, can I decide to stop my movement at the point of attack, and get the benefit of Psylockes enhancement?

Even if you decide not to move again, your attack comes before you can put your figure down. The timing is like this -- move, attack, move again, end move, put figure down... even if you don't actually move. This means, Psylocke won't be able use her Enhancement since she's not actually on the map.
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
The attack portion of HSS option 1 happens DURING the move action. This means if you are carrying anyone you cannot use thier powers as they cannot be used while they are being carried. In other words, no none being carried during HSS option 1 can be used to modifiy the attack.
thanks, the confusion comes from our venue, where we are not allowed to carry while using HSS. I just wanted it spelled out easy, so I can show this post to our judge, and for a more accurate ruling
