I would have to say that I am impressed by all the artwork, some more than others. But it is always up to the artist's interpretation of the character. I guess the Lizard artist thought that Doc Conner had a severe case of pink eye though.

Taken apart, I love the Rhino art, taken with the whole set, it's a little disappointing simply because it's such a style departure. The cartoony-mixed with the more realistic styles depending on the characters are for the most part dead-on. I will also throw my kudos to the Sadistic Choice art (which itself was a sadistic choice).

Prowler isn't a ninja. He's a tough-luck kinda guy - more like a low-rent Iron Man, actually, a former criminal, still an inventor of all the stuff on his costume. Hobie Brown. Yes, he is a black guy, though, to whoever was confused. I think he broke his legs or something, and doesn't really cape around anymore.

Rhino should be breaking through a wall like the Kool-Aid Man. And why on EARTH wasn't Mysterio in the starter set?

With the amount of team-ups Spidey's had, ANYBODY could be counted as a Spider-Friend. I hope we get another Hulk. I don't want to have to wait til the Avengers set to get Hulk characters. Maybe the Hulk villains and Hulks will be unaffiliated in this set. I need The Leader.

Considering the Hulk is going to be an Avenger and a Defender (in fact, he'll probably be two Defenders) I don't see any reason why he has to be a Spider-Friend too.

Hulk fans are gonna have to be appeased in each set, so I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up in this set somehow, although not necessarily as a Spider-Friend. Although does he have enough of a supporting cast to qualify for an affiliation? Could be food for thought....

Mysterio will probably be a rare, hence why he is not in the Starter.

Hulk's got a supporting cast big enough - but he doesn't have enough FRIENDS. Rick Jones, Doc Samson, Betty Ross - and if she has a card worth anything, it'll be the Harpy, and it won't be a Hulkfriend. The Pantheon, maybe, but I don't think they like him much anymore. Jarella? Kate Waynesboro, Agent of SHIELD? Man, if they have a card for HER, the woman who became MODAM for an issue, this will truly be the best game ever. Maybe.
