How many people are expected to show up at this PCQ? Whats been the average for the other Florida ones?

With the PCQ only a few days away, how come no ones been talking about it? Maybe because it's the end of the season and this part of the board seems dead while everyone digests DC card thoughts? Are there not many people expected to show up?

I will see you there James, maybe it will be just you and me in the tournament and I am already qualified.

Seriously, there will probably not be too many there for Sealed at 10 am, most will come for the Constructed later in the afternoon. I will play in both to support the local scene.

I'll be there for Constructed, i'll probably be the only girl there with a Generations shirt on ;)

After being there for about 9 hours.. wow, fun PCQ, yet lonnnnng. So, who made top 8 and who won? I dropped after hitting a 2-3 record with my BBH.. oh well, can't win em all i guess.

w00t,pcq is over. Sealed imo was horrible, for me atleast. I had godly pulls (sabretooth feral,primary,latveria,mutancy suprency foil, hulk...) and like i had to give that all up :( then my new deck was garbage. Relocation is so useless since like you see only a few locations in sealed. Dark Phoneix=uber garbage for sealed since you can never reach the 10th turn. Signal Flare and Hulk where like my only trump stuff. I attempted a faceofdoom/doomstat combo in my sealed deck yet it failed. I end up going 2-3 and missing the top 8 :(. Constructed, I stayed aside since before the tourney I tried out my deck...It lost to a FF/Xmen deck. Gamma Doom wasn't built right sadly and dishing out another 15 bux was not worth it. Team Generations was just getting the floor wiped with them sadly. Oh well, more pcqs will come. Until then, Back to YGO and working on a new vs deck :)

Hey guys, I can't beleive I decided to make my first tournament a PCQ. I was the guy running the horrible Sinister Syndicate deck, and I was there with the guy who was running the Wild Vomit thing and had only been playing for three days or something. So who won constructed, anyway? How far did Gabriel get?

W0w the PCQ Suxed Really Bad for Me Yesterday. I Got Deck #11 By Random in the Draft. Then When I Looked at It I Seriously was about to Cry lol. I Was about to Vomit all over Elf Swordsman Because It was the WOST.DECK.EVA. OMG It was s0000000000 Bad. I Got like a Bunch Of Garbage Rares that I Couldnt Use Like Pogo Plane with Only like 2 FF Characters. And then I Pulled like 2 Negative Zone Rares, With No Negative Zone. Overall My Draft Record Was 0-5. I Couldnt Win a Single Match With that Awful Deck :( . A Waste Of $25 lol. Oh Well It was Fun.

Hey Zeromaru and SoFaKiNgDoM, remember me? I beat both of you with my Doom deck :p You guys were fun to play against, what store do you play at?

I talked to stubarnes for like a second when I asked him about the highest DEF contest. I wonder if he knows who I am...

I played in constructed and finished with a horrible record because of my first match. I played some guy and I beat him the first game. Then the second game he complains to the judge and he ends up getting the initiative two turns in a row for some strange reason, and he wins that one. But for the third game it went to time and he was up by like 10 points and there was no way for me to cause a large amount of damage to him that turn, so I just put down my cards and let him attack me with everything he had. It was kind of sad because I had my Gamma Bomb combo ready to go for turn 7, and Apocalypse and Onslaught ready to follow up on turn 8 and 9. I went into the PCQ knowing my stall deck could lose due to time out, but I never thought it would happen like that. I don't know why the judge thought it was right to give him the initiative twice in a row, I think they need to make sure they know the rules before they let someone judge.

My next match was against a Four Freedoms Burn deck. And since my deck doesn't really do that much attacking until the later turns, he had 7 turns to get out all the cards he needed to burn me over and over again using Advanced Hardware and Cosmic Radiation. It was interesting to sit there and watch him draw 20 cards in one turn and play them all out on the field like he did. There's not much my deck can do against a deck like that, but if I had gotten my win in the first round like I should have, I would have never of had to play it.

From there I went on and won the rest of my matches. Well kinda all my matches except the last one where I won but signed over the win to SoFaKiNgDoM because I had to leave.

I had a good time regaurdless of how I did. It's too bad we don't have 4 PCQ's here in S. Florida like we had 4 regionals for YGO ;)

My one gripe was the judges... initiative two times in a row?!?! Why?!?!

I too had a gripe w/the judges.. except for the head judge i don't think most of them knew what they were doing. One of them even told my opponent that he could play TNB from his hand to add 2 attack!

Anyways, the best part was holding that alternate art TNB, way cool :devious:

If you don't agree with the floor judges ruling, it is your right to ask for the Head Judge. If the Head Judge makes a wrong ruling, then you just have to deal with it.

I took 1st in sealed. I had a blast playing in the tournament. I've already got an invite (courtesy of UDE) and I'm not able to make the 1st PT, so passed down the qualify to 2nd place.

I made Top 8 in Sealed and lost to the guy in the previous post (I think) in the Top 8. A relatively well run event although I was a bit miffed with the whole no Draft in Top 8. Not so much because I had a bad deck but because I wanted to draft dammit! I guess I should have looked into it ahead of time. I may write a report if I get some time.
