Yes, since it is 'this turn'. They get Range this turn. However, look closer...
They get +4 ATK when they attack.
So you're not going to be able to drop that while you're defending like Nasty Surprise.
As for Trigon - I got 2 Onslaught in my Doom stall. Trigon's getting one of those out into another deck. I want him. Now.
I want DC now.
Gimme gimme! ;)
I'm wondering about the Fearsome Five. Three characters in particular.
1) Jinx. Okay, you exhaust a resource to do 1 DEL to all opponents. But there are several locations that don't require activation, so if you team her with the X-Men, your Danger Room becomes an automatic DEL of 1. Who cares if it is exhausted, it still works. The same applies to Yancy Street and Lost City (among others), which brings me to ...
2) Neutron. Holy team-up Batman! If anybody was built to work with the New Brotherhood it is this guy. Both Players KO a resource?!?! Now you don't have to worry about losing the game by being outspent. Your opponent now has to play you on your terms.
3) Psimon. On the other side of things is this gentleman. Get him out and it's big or nothing... No Beatdowns, no Mega-Blasts, no Flying Kicks. Very little of anything, in fact, including most cards in a Sentinel deck. It could get ugly.
All in all, I'm very much looking forward to this set. I mean, the Fearsome Five? Who'd of thunk it?
Total Anarchy is my new favorite card it not only takes care of sentinels but it also kills Brootherhood. Can you say the age of Brootherhood is going to be gone when this set comes out. This is also because of all the location and plot twist control.
Anyone else notice that Etrigan doesn't make your opponents lose eight endurance, he makes them pay eight endurance? So if they have less than eight endurance, they can't pay and have to KO all their locations. It's a bit of a longshot that they'll be under 8 at the start of the eighth turn, but in a close game he's a game breaker.
Yes, Etrigan's effect is great, but if you have even initiative it is simply amazing. KOing all of your opponent's locations and unused plot twists is wonderful, but wiping his resource row before he's had a chance to recruit any characters for the turn is priceless (especially if he's holding an 8-drop).
The Fearsome Five have many of the best abilities in the set. I intend to make them work somehow.
Fizzle is getting a lot of attention and rightfully so, but I haven't seen many people talk about the Batcave. Being able to watch your opponent build before you every turn is such an advantage it's stupid. Gotham Knights look pretty strong.
I've seen a few people mention Fast Getaway and its ability to keep you from excessive damage. I haven't seen anyone mention that it's also a counter to Blindsided. Your defender may not be reinforced, but it makes no difference if the attacker does no breakthrough damge.
Raven is another character with a simply amazing ability. With stats of 14/14 and loyalty, she's fairly balanced, but she also has range and flight. For the cost of 1 endurance, none of your opponent's characters or locations ready during the recovery phase. It's not even an activated ability. At least it can only be used during the recovery phase.
Another great location is Blackgate Prison. Activate>>stun an Arkham Inmates character you control>>Draw a card. Card drawing is great, and stuning a 1 or 2 cost character to draw a card is potentially not all that bad. Upon closer inspection, though, a more sinister use for this card is revealed. If your opponent attacks one of your Arkham Inmates and uses 2 or 3 plot twists you can just flip Blackgate Prison, activate, and stun your defender. Your opponent's character readies but without the bonuses (unless they used Flying Kick or Mega Blast which last for the turn). The character can attack again so it's situational, but what VS card isn't (that was rhetorical)?
Garth<>Tempest can retrieve any card from your KO'd pile for the cost of 3 endurance and no activation. This just speaks for itself.
I didn't touch on many of the cards already getting a lot of attention (Killer Croc, Mega Blast, From the Shadows, Have a Blast...), but this post is already running long so I'll cut it short. The Batcave and Blackgate Prison aren't the only good locations in the set. Put these alongside Lost City and Avalon, and is there any question why there's so much location hate in the DC set?
i have a question concerning Jason Blood. Does using his ability negate your ability to use the plot twist that you are flipping over. If not then this guy is great and is not getting near the P.R. that he should be. If you cannot activate the card then it also has the potential to allow a deck that contains a lot of useful one of's that you typically just don't have room for because you "MAY" not use them. Let me know what you think about this guy.

unless i'm mistaken, flipping the card is part of Jason's payment, so you can't use the twist.
use him with Doom and flip it back anyway.

I don’t think Total Anarchy is such a great card against Sent/army decks because your opponent would most likely have to KO the army characters anyways during recovery. For example, if you stun 3 wild sents and a Mark IV, he will probably sack the WS's during recovery anyways while keeping the Mark IV. In this case, TA gives little if any advantage. Though it would be nice to stun/KO his Sen. Kelly with TA in play!! With NBH, TA is a very good card to have in play
