As Jeff said, releasing so many sets this year is to develop the metagame. As much as my wallet is crying (UDE is happily laughing), I have to admit that the sets will develop a solid foundation for next year.
Well, yeah as an imprint (Wildstorm). They are still one of the original Image teams.
Either way, now there is a loophole. Bring on the pooptactular Youngblood team! Weeee....
Okay, back on topic. 4 sets a year I guess is okay. I'm just so anal about getting a full set and then a few playable decks that I end up spending way too much money. I gotta learn to cut back and trade more.
I think it's great that a representative of UDE are within the forum and answering our concerns. This is the kind of support that gamers need. :)
On topic: I think 4 sets per year is great. My only request is please do not release money-cards (Savage Beatdown, HAB) in future sets. It will kill the game IMO.

So far I'm not really impressed with the information flow from UDE. I really like the way decipher are promoting their ccg's.
The have an information area for each new expansion. Then there are spoilers every day (at least every other day). They tell us when a set release date cannot be met, etc...
And now take a look at the news section from the official UDE Marvel Site. I think UDE can learn alot from decipher...
Anyway... good job so far UDE and thank you for beeing present here =)
it is about time decipher started listening to their fans. maybe whizkids can do that same.
either way, i have never been more impressed with costumer service and public relations of a company, than i am with UDE, these guy care about the game and the players and it shows.
yeah customer service is great. so far I had only good experiences.
The only small thing still buggin' me is the information flow.
In the old days we all had to rely on magazines with new information about the latest expansions. Nowdays people prefer to get the news directly from the source... Because it's faster, cheaper, etc
I for one want more than 4 sets a year, new dynamics, PT,Equips,Chars. add nothing but ideas and flavor to the game.
4 a year should be a base, but they should have a special set something that once a year is put out strictly Pt's or Equips that also has More army cards for all different teams.
You do realize that at every 3 months the whole field changes, right? That's pretty quick. There's all that other stuff in there like work/school/family/girlfriend/wife/eating/whateva that needs to be done. Yes? No?
4 a year is ok as long as you are not a set collector. If you selectively choose your factions it should not be to bad. I'm not planing on picking up either of the new factions, I'm planning on splitting a box with a friend who played different factions than me. Then single boosters to fill the cravings.
If you are a collector.. I feel sorry for your bank book.
I've been playing CCGs to lng now and I learned from my mistake of going for a complete set. It just hurts to much when a game does not pan out. Now I collect just factions and filler in games I play.
Four a year? I dunno. Seems like a lot overall. I guess they aren't going to run out of content between the Marvel and DC universes, but are they going to run out of play dynamics? Also, is it going to end up that sets replay cards from other sets? I'd hate this to end up like Magic where I'm drawing Last Stand or something equally lame out of the latest expansion only it has a new picture.
Ehh 4 a year isn't bad I guess - just means that I will be spending about $2000 a year on VS (10 boxes of each set - usually what I need for my playset). I think I can handle that...
