Apparently in Game 1 it wasn't.
But, probably since Teen Titans is pure Beating the shnit out of you, while Curve Sentinals relies solely on precise drops.
Too bad for En-Kur :(. Wonder if there was any 2nd place prize..either way, Team RealmWorx did great at the 10k tourney. *Hands every member of Team RealmWorx a lolipop and a sticker*. Well done!
Well, it's hard to not get Overloaded when Rob can throw his own Beatdown on your guy after you played Beatdown while attacking... Also, Terra, Arsenal, and TTG can be a problem. Board clearing hurts the Cover Fire. Lastly, if you miss Bastion, then Arsenal can shoot whoever he wants (Bastion stops this because he can pump outside of combat).
Ive had the privelege of meeting Rob playing both YGO and Vs System. He is the best player Ive seen by far in Vs. His roy harper can do things you dont even think are possible, he practically has the thing stand up and tapdance on the table for him. He definitely deserved the win. Props to curve sentinels for making it that far, quite an interesting development in the metagame.
but seriuosly, that is the first time in a long while i have seen someone run an overload, not since the days when hood was a major force in the field.
i wonder if it was added to stop the new curve sentinels deck reliying on bastion or if VS_master felt that hood might show up again, either way it was a good metagame call.
oh, wait, there is no metagame.
and there is no spoon either, which is why i am eating my fruit loops with a fork.

Yes, there is most definitely a second place prize. First is $2500. Second is $1500. Everyone in the top 8 also gets 24 packs and a promo card.
