While I see the reasoning in making Reign of Terra a rare, both sides of the matter could be argued. I do agree with Bojack, making those kind of legacy cards uncommon/commons would disrupt the balance of limited because there would be less of a card pool to choose from. However the question is "what rares would you not like to pull" and regardless of the balancing of limited, I think can't think of a time I would like to pull a team-stamped legacy rare as bad as Reign of Terra; they simply can't be used in limited.

And as for judging people's limited skill by a single comment -- it's uncalled for. You really don't know him at all, not to mention that it's blatantly off topic.

There is one rare that I can think of that fits your description..........Shadows of the Past!!!!!

True, this card is pretty good........but it is way worse than Tower of Babel. SOTP is inferior in every way (can only play during your atk, no breakthru), but one.......it actually works against a League of assassins deck!!!, unlike TOB.

Anyways, I don't classify it as a bad rare, just not that great, but it looks cool.

The cards I thikn are bad are all the cards aforementioned, except Commander....just attack up the curve, then down the curve (with Commander) to keep him from getting stunned. Big Bear can atk up the curve.:)

There are bad rares, but I mean, everyone said Eric Brooks was bad, but a lot of MK decks are running him. Bad rares are considered bad until the entire set is released. Then, they actually have something to work with, so don't judge until it's revealed.

Shadows of the Past has a few things over Babel, that it hits other loa decks, it effects the oppoent while you're attacking, (for stuff like tnb, lost city, heroic sacrifice, etc) and it works in the recover phase for things like children of the atom. Plus, if you don't neet to prevent something like tnb, then play it after you're done attacking. If I pull well, I play SotP when I have the init, and tower when i dont.

Mogo seems dumb, Fall of oa... I mean your whole deck in your hand.... I don't know... Not a big fan of Ion..Reign of terra I am sure there are more...

i would have to say its still to early to call the rares bad, unless you have built decks that contain the rares, and if thats the case, your a bad deck builder. give the cards a chance, play with them, show them some respect. after all they are rare cards...and i'm sure in some card world, they have feelings just as much as some 10 cent common, or the 2 cents of a bad deck builder.

IMO, Reign of terra has no potential at all. Deathstroke himself has no effect besides making other people his team affiliation. He has no plot twists or locations or equipment that benefit his team. There is no bonus to using him. He doesn't have even above average stats. Someone point out how in any way Reign of terra is worth the 2 cents it cost to make the card.

Why is Ragman a rare? He has poor stats and an O.K. boost effect, I think Azrael would have made a better choice. I am certain he will see more play.

It's for unaffiliated Mojo decks. Suddenly you can play with the best characters at each drop rank and they're all unaffiliated, thanks to Mojo.

Reign of Terra is the only rare I don't like.

prison planet is great for EE weenies as they jump the curve and dont need to team attack.

mongo has its uses, id call it mediocor, but not bad.

Reign is for mojo. Now, mojo decks are something to consider.

IMO Jailbird is nice, but i only think its rare to prevent abuse in sealed.

Go read Prison Planet again. It says "Characters you control lose reinforcement, cannot gain reinforcement". I dont care how good you think you are, losing reinforcement for only +2ATK blows out the hind quaters like a bad burrito. Honestly I could never see anybody using this card.

Mogo gives +1 or +2 willpower to GL chars only. The only time I could ever see this used would be for The Ring Has Chosen or Battle of the Wills.

Prison Planet is VERY VERY good, its like a TNB with no cost restrictions, and trust me, when its your opponent's turn to attack, his life will be low enough such that any stun endurance loss should be critical to him...

mogo is great...in limited. might not be so great in constructed but its still good. reign of terra is weak. Has coolness factor though. prison planet is good, big drawback but not crap. theres ways to remove it....so...whatever
