Originally posted by LabRat I heard someone mention a LoA and SF team up, anyone got any ideas about this team up?
This has been done for a Las Vegas 10K Spider Assassins...
It basically used evasion and pit of madness to get a god combo going with bronze tiger... And of course use 7 drop spidey to exhaust everyone...
I think a better deck could be made I dont like going into a match planning to be stunned, of course its going to happen but still y plan to be stunned and make that your k t the deck...
with ras EN as your 4 drop evens is a better pick now and use spidey of 7 for def to end the game on 8 when ras shuts down the game now fill the characters btwn.
I think I've finally found who to team SF up with: Brotherhood. Abusing Lost City and Avalon, and playing nothing but Spideys and Scarlet Spiders 2-8, you can get your guys pretty big.
I put something in the deck garage about it, try search Big Spider-hood.
i usually play alot of low drops and run 4 twist of fate. I've only had minor problems hitting my lower drops and none with the higher. Maybe Mav will give em a team they can go with that has a searcher.

yeah but even though BBH is good to team up with it will make the deck even more fragile...
This is what i think SF's should team up with:
GOTHOM KNights: THEY HAVE TUTORS, they fit negat theme, they can beatdown... perfect for SF's since the deck is about def and negation...
LOA: Tutors, stall is big on both sides till turn 8 and its shutdown for the opponents teamstamped abilities...
FF: beatdown, euipment, tutor, stall
New Gods: this is a tricky one because its recovey but mostly features the a early teamup and use Spiderclones till the end recovering and useing himon and other such anoying cards.
i, for one, love spiderman. he is my favourite hero. i have a deck based on him and only him. its a combination of marvel knights and spiderfriends although i only put in marvel knights because of the 6 drop spiderman. in the whole deck i have a complete total of 18 spiders and 4 more to come when the avengers set comes out. I honestly dont think that spider friends team doesnt need any team up. and that it is very useful on its own. for example my deck uses simple synergies or maybe combos. 7 drop spidey on 7 drop ezekiel on 8 drop for a load of cards to exhaust and attack. this is the only deck i play for VS and I have done pretty decent against brotherhood and older teams. although i plan to make another deck with JLA set comes

they do do well. for character search, they have costume change, a well change of spider man or any other characters if u ask me. there have always been twist of fate and that has always worked for me. ezekiel lets u draw a lot if u have a lot of characters in play. that way u may draw a card.
Wow, this subject is something that I've been trying to work with for months!
When the Spider-Man set first came out, I knew that the team I would play in Vs was Spider-Friends (and Avegners when the set came out). However, my SF deck could never compete against my friend's decks. It was probably because SF has a lack of ATK boosts and a tutor. I always had problems drawing out cards and missing my drops. With a tutor, like with teh FF, the problem would be minimalized. And using other team-stamped cards SF can access a much needed ATK boost (like Clobberin' Time from the FF team).
However, I've tried teaming SF with almost any team imaginable. Most wouldn't work out because teaming up SF with another team is very fragile. First off, you if I didn't have 2 different characters with 2 different teams on field, I couldn't play a team-up card which out let me use team-stamped cards such as tutors. And if I could draw a team-up card, I couldn't team up SF with another team, making SF (or teh otehr team) prone to breakthrough damage.
Then came MK. If you want a team that might work better with SF, MK is the team. With Dagger, you have a higher likleyhood of getting Midnight Sons. Also you didn't need both teams to team them up, so the moment you have a MK character, use Midnight Sons, and team them up with SF. This also allows you to use MKs team-stamped tutors and ATK boosts, which SF really needs for the extra push.
However, it's still dependant on the luck of the draw, and I usually had bad luck with that. So in the end I gave up playing a comptetive SF deck. I tried for months, but couldn't get anything that really clicks. The problem with teaming up SF with another team is that you need to have certain cards drawn in order for it to work. In the end I think it's too unstable, and that solo-SF works the best, even if it's not tier-1 level.
I am starting to agree. Team up decks are too fragile in the current meta, because if they don't get the team up they have no chance at winning.
Costume Change works if you are playing Spidey clones, but not if you run evasion SF or something else. What I am going to do is play a Spider-Man at every drop, though I will play some alternates too. This way, I can tutor for whatever drop I need, but I can also draw into ones I'd rather prefer in certain situations.
What about SF and Sentinels. Just play Amazing on 7, Steal intiative, and win the game. And they already have Reconstruction Program. If it goes to 8 play Apocalypse or Cosmic Spidey. True that you really are only using the 7 drops but still. It can win.
well, my sf deck has no problems tho. everytime i play against my friends i always turn out hitting my drops perfectly, 2..3..4..5...6. it was like i said before spiderfriends do have search.costume change, n others. although i would agree that spiderfriends have no attack boost whatsoever.
