They are absolutely correct. What was so tricky? Is Chad hung up on the wording of team tactics regarding the "exhausted character?" In this case, it means, the character that was exhausted, i.e. the one which was acted upon, as opposed to the state of being "currently exhausted."

He was just saying chad could not answer it because he was trying to be tricky and knew that chad would post the right answer not leaving it as a 'challenge' for us.

Ok so say you did all that and got her to 56 attack. What if she was attacking a character like Spider-Woman and I used evasion?

Songbird readies and loses all her attack bonuses (if she wasn't all ready ready. lol) But wouldn't she then be stuck since she can't attack do to her effect of readying the first time? Just want to make sure I got this right. (Happened a little while ago.)

If you did all that to pump her up when she was attacking a character w/ evasion you should be smacked :).

To answer your question though, both her own self-ready'ing text and Deadly Conspiracy make it so she cannot initiate anymore attacks this turn so... she'd sit there for the rest of the turn looking pretty.

Lol that looks like something that would be really funny to see. Maybe even a sticky Situation or something to cancel all that.
