There are some really amazing players at UD. They test these cards for months before they finalize them and release them. I don't think they plan letting anything out that is too broken. I think titans may have slipped past them a little bit, but I think everything else, they knew right where they were going.
Dual Affil will Definatlly have a very important place in Future sets. ALso The Ally Mech seems good for rigth now but I have yet to see that Absolutly Busted Ally Ability that Everyone knows is gona be in the set. I mean that Guy Who Is gona have like Ally :when ever a Character you Control becomes powered up, When Ever it stuns a Character Ko that Character.
Actually, I think in JLA he could be an 8 drop. If u think about it, they call in batman when they REALLY need him, and he usually gets the job done where supes, wonder woman, ect fail. Hes a trump card. If he is an 8 drop, he should be weaker stat wise with a kick ass effect. Dunno how to top aquaman's effect but if bats is an 8 drop JLA, expect JLA to be kings of the end game.

MAybe they are just showing all the good cards now? [/b]
No way will Aquaman replace Magneto in Curve. Genosha is way more important than getting a conditional card return for the KO pile.
At the first glance of Captain America when they first previewed it, he was awesome, so are some other cards. However, when Avengers runs in after 1 or 2 months, it is not really that strong after all. I am sure JLA set is going to be somethig like this. When they playtest those cards, they would have tested their strength.
Originally posted by xphoenix87 every time we get previews, there's one of these threads. People said MOS was going to be too good after they saw Doomsday and the Source, and we all know how much of a powerhouse that set developed into (ugh, so bad). People always overreact to preview cards. Just wait until you see the whole set before judging anything, right now we have no idea how powerful the set will prove to be.
exactly. We've seen this EXACT same thread since DC Origins previews were released. It's like clockwork. And it NEVER turns out to be true.

One of them came within an inch of top 8-ing, I think.
In any case, I have yet to see any obviously busted JLA cards. In fact, the preview cards are actually discouraging me from playing in the sneak preview. They seem kinda weak, considering that previews are supposed to be the kick-ass "play me!" cards of the set.

I thought they showed off the team theme week one, then showed the busted cards the following week. Anyway, some of this week's cards might be great, and we just can't see it yet, as we haven't seen enough of the set.

That is what I was thinking. Genosha is definitely better unless you have a Recon. The downside with Genosha is it has to be drawn - Aquaman has a slightly inferior (in this case) built-in Genosha and only he takes up 4 slots in your deck, not 8. Magneto does have that killer ability though.
I do think Aquaman is worth trying. Chances are you won't always have the 3 adjacent guys I suppose.
First off I do not think we have enough previews at this time to say whether JLA is going to be good. But even if they turn out to be realy powerful that will not be a bad thing. Think about it fo a second, how much money have we spent on sets with teams that we would not play a PCQ with? I think we are due for a great set from DC. I want a set where every team is a viable contender. I want to go to a PC or a 10K and have alot of people playing a wide variety instead of 40% being Curve, 40% TT, and 20% other.
I'd say the only preview even close to broken is Aquaman, and he ain't even that bad. Some cards pretty good in limited, but nothing do cry about. Its way to early to judge.
