Yeah, EMS played correctly, can Dr Light-stun Apoc on turn 8 every game (given a decent draw). The problems that stand in your way are Null Time Zone and Flame Trap. They Null Time, naming Fizzle, and then they are free to Flame Trap and completely wreck your game. Null Time Zone naming Reign of Terror on turn 4 is devestating as well. Flame Trapping/S&Ding your Shimmer pre-combat hurts just as bad. Then you add the fact that CS uses War of Attritions... and EMS just doesnt seem like a good iea.
New School isnt a great idea either... in addition to the above problems, New School also has major problems against Apoc. The only real way for New School to beat Apoc is to Jean Grey, Phoenix Force before combat.... and in order to do that, you would have to modify the entire build just so that you have material to discard the Jean Grey 4 drop (required to play the 8 drop), etc. However, COTA could be nice... so it might not be a big problem to add Phoenix. You could also try and Brimstone constantly, so that Apoc never comes out.... but that often just leads to them ovewhelming you with more characters.
I think Himon (to stop NTZs), and Jean Greys could give New School an edge in the current environment... the only problem is fitting them in.
what jean greys were u thinking about, but i like the idea of himon, but he can still can get stunned by s&d although it isnt used as much....
but the thing i hate the most is NTZ calling fizzle into FT... i mean i can bear with it on 4 calling reign because i can just not drop doom since i can chain if they do it when i play him.... i dont know they need to change NTZ
The only real way around it is to use your own Null in response to their Null, and name Flame Trap. But then they dont have to name the card until their Null resolves... so if you Null Flame Trap, they can call Paralysis or something else with their on-the-chain Null. Null actually works well in New School, as Micro Chip turns it down. Also if you wanna have fun, you can use Garth to get it back every turn. So that would be.... every turn....
wow, i never thought of using null to combat null... thats just crazy and it works, because once they use null you play yours, and call Flame if they dont do anything, but if they play flame on the chain then you can fizzle since they didnt get their null right?

Yeah, if they Flame Trap before their Null resolves, you can Fizzle it.
I think Monitor Womb Station is a better answer to NTZ than Himon because it costs 3 less resource points, though you will struggle to find space in the row when you really need it (turn 4). Neither are very practical.
Even if himon costed 1 it wouldnt matter becus they wouldnt be able to activate it untill turn4... ill try to come up with a deck list that can support NTZs inside...
also thanks for the advice guys and if u hav anything to say it would be gladly appreciated...
