I am definately doing the Secret Society "Jack Move" deck. There is nothing more fun than beating the snot out of your opponent with his own characters.
Also, the Injustice Gang looks to be pretty fun for the draw version. Fill up your opponents hand then watch them squirm.
I also want to play the JLI under curve deck. I like rush and this build looks promising.
I will probably avoid JLA however. I like the cards but it just does not really interest me as a team build. Maybe a team up though.
First I'm going to try out the Army build, and then see if I can improve on it with the full hand strategy (Criminal Mastermind draws cards for their burn while refilling your hand with more army guys). One interesting thing about this set is the fact that Hard-Light Storage Tank and Queen Bee are both a reusable way to get extra army guys onto the field every turn. If anything, I can use Infernal Minions and go concealed with the army guys and give them a team attack powered head-ache every turn (and adding another army guy thanks to the Storage Tank) while at the same time curving out in the visible area with Lex, Joker, Scarecrow, and the good old burning Doctor. Can add in a searchable Abra Kadabra thanks to Secret Files too.
After I build the army deck, I'm going Secret Society. Character Stealing is just so hot, and Sinister Citadel makes sure that the cards you steal from your opponent are put to good use (making Grodd even stronger).
JLI JLI JLI, the weenie rush that they have is just too good and the 4 drop thats a mini nimrod and also the black canary 5 drop with lots of pumps and etc., thats just gonna be too good.
also-secret society/underworld-this should be interesting.
Hmmmm.... Got to be Injustice Gang/Revenge Squad Ongoing and Secret Society/Manhunters Mill. But I would like to make decks for all the teams/themes ideally :)
I think ill bulid a straigh JLA deck with a small twist to it.
I know im buliding the IG draw deck, something about letting ur oppendent draw cards and watch them smile and then u taking life with IQ and then Scarscrow comes out and is like bye bye.
Also I might bulid Straight AI because they have the 2 genric tutors
I'm looking at a JLA/JLI rush team attack deck with the 4 or fewer resource effects thrown in to boot. It just seems like it'd be fun and fast with all the search power the two have.
I'm making JLI Willpower, just so I can use Dr. Fate, hehe, ever since I found out who he is(yes before JLU came out I'll point that out) I liked him a lot, and beside he has ateam affiliation no one else has xD. Also I wasn to use Captain Marvel's effect, he's like the JLI's beatdown.
I'm definetely beefing up my GLEE deck. Damn those new cards look sweet! Splashing Martian Manhunter 5-drop and Martian Manhunter 8-drop into my deck will be the first move. That turn 8 bastion with a built in genosha effect is worth every penny! Also turn 5 Manhunter is nothing to scoff at. his leader effect will be a godsend to this deck. pop him in and out of the hidden area whenever you need emergency reinforcement and a defensive attack boost and move him back when you're done. Most of the time you won't need to do this but if an emergency calls he's there. plus his nice 9/9 and I think 4 willpower makes him a wayyyyy bigger candidate than Remoni.
I'm really thinking about trying to ween the deck away from GLEE to a more JLA/GL deck. However Dr. Light will remain a must have play on turn 3. I'm debating about taking Malovio out on turn for too for turn four Ollie (Green Arrow). It's KO'ing one drops vs card drawing manipulation. Hmmm. I usually don't have any problems getting the cards I need so I'm definetely play testing the deck without him.
Turn seven now has become an interesting debate in my mind. That seven drop Guy Gardner is a damn good card. Possibly damn good is a little tame to describe it. I used to like playing DGL Guy on turn six with boost. This may change now too. If the game ever went to turn seven it'd be game over for anyone. Guy's effect with sinestro's effect plus cover fires equals there's nothing your opponent can do but cry or waste an ungodly amount of attack pumps.
Mogo is cool and definetely not a bad card but I think Martian Manhunter topples it out of the race. But I guess it depends on who I want to have the initiative on turn 8. The way I see it if we go into turn 8 I want it to be my initiative and I want Martian with three dudes around him, pref Guy 7-drop, Sinestro GLOK, Ollie or Malovio.
If I do go with Malovio atleast Hard-Travelling heroes allows for more than one team to join forces. So get a HTH early on and later on and there's no problems.
