Compared to the 'last' tins [Spidey, Doc Oc, Wolvie and Mags] these are 100% better. Lower cost to get 'a set' [since it comes packaged as one], useful tins, etc.
And the EAs, well 2 out of 4, for both of them, are EAs of rare cards. So, even if you don't 'care' about EAs ... you'll be able to pick up a copy of Super Soldier and Doc Spectrum, or a copy of 4-drop Lex and Wonder Woman, Avatar for low prices.
As for playability of the EAs ... odds are the JLA one has the Avengers beat in that department. Joker is going to be a cornerstone of the IJ Hand Flood deck ... so it's just a batter of whether or not that becomes 'a good deck'. But, at the least, he's a good card IN the deck. And 5-drop Martian Manhunter has already had tons of things said about him ... he's going to see play because his ability is useful, he can be splashed at will, has a pair of team affiliations, and willpower [which is essentially a third] giving him 'room' on any JLA, JLI or GL decks. Wonder Woman can work in a willpower/control type of JLA deck [and in a Girl Power deck, Zattana replaces that Cosmic Counter on five ;)] I don't know about the 4-drop Lex though ... I didn't even know about his ability/stats until after the pre-release ... not sure if he'll see much play or not.
EDIT: I just checked out the image of 4-drop Lex using the card list ... and all I can say is that I'm VERY glad to have the EA version. I mean ... it's 5-drop Darkseid's card with a few minor changes! I'm no artist, but I find it a little 'lazy' to not only have two pictures that are nearly identical down to the pose ... but then the whole thing is bathed in red so it doesn't need to have any color in it. Anyway ... glad to see they have an alternate art for a ugly card.
