Originally posted by dragon11 I've been trying to play it as well, and all I can say is keep trying. It takes alot of practice, and you have to really concentrate when playing it. The suggestion to read Dean's games at metagame and his article is also vital.
Basically, Ive gotten to the point where I can win with it against most deck types if I play well, although i still have trouble with swarm decks(if anyone has any tips for those matchups, id appreciate it). I was considering playing it at my next PCQ, but the question is "How hard do you want to work?" The thing about FFun is that you have to think about every matchup. Your play has to change based on what your opponent is doing. Decks like Avengers and Squadron for example have straightforward goals and are much less taxing to play.
Personally, I dont know how Dean plays this deck so many games in a row at the top level without his head exploding.
Against swarm my favorite guy is Thing... just throw them some Flamethrowers to those annoying drop 1 characters... and get the Child Lock ASAP.
