I had system failure played on me 3 times in 1 game in LA. I still won that game. Had it been overload i would definitely have lost. If thats not proof enough that it is not as good as overload I dont know what is.

If by good you mean abusive and meta-screwing, then we are in agreement.

How about that Overload was banned?
No one is saying that System Failure is better than or as good as Overload ... if it was, it would get banned too.
They are saying that it has REPLACED Overload by doing what Overload SHOULD have done in the first place ... protection from 'over reaching' on an attack.
But, the sucess of System Failure is the opposite of Overload's ...
With Overload in the metagame, the ONLY way to use it was to push your opponent's over the top as only a few [Roy Harper] would go into overload range willingly.
With System Failure though ... most don't expect to see it, nor care too much if they do ... and thus will gladly put themselves into System Failure range [or close enough for the opponent to pump them the rest of the way.]
It's System Failure's 'lack' of power that allows it to be used more often and has allowed the metagame to shift to an area where it is useable.
If there was an Overload, System Failure would NEVER see play. System Failure only exists as a replacement for a card that was unbalanced and is inherently inferior to it ... but considering you can't PLAY overload any more, that point is moot.
I like system failure, and i run it in a titans deck. It and heroic sacrifice keeps my guys around long enough for me to wrap things up a few turns latter. The only down side is having to waste a Savage beatdown every now and then to make it work.
I was simply making a comparison of the 2 cards. Hopefully showing that overload was overpowered and that system failure may not actually help to win games. Like playing overload 3 times means you pretty much auto win, where as 3 system failures just means that you can live longer. I will agree that against squadron the living longer should lead to victory. That is just my experience.
