I would prefer a handheld version that included all current sets from both rosters.
But most importantly, a capable CPU opponent that would be able to provide a realistic view for testing.
When I played Yugi Games, it was a great way to test a potential deck. Only problem was the interaction of the CPU. The CPU would react to every situation with the same tact. A human would approach most situations differently, and provide a realistic view of what I might face.
Yeah, the last I had read Konami had picked up the rights to create a Marvel VS System game (DC was never mentioned in the press release).
In which case it's either, A. still in development, B. their working on getting DC on board as well, or C. just scrapped it altogether since I haven't heard anything since the initial press release.
I thought it said it was going to be a Marvel game, so no DC if that's true. They might make it like Pokemon and have Marvel and DC versions of the game.
The system though is a mystery. I'm hoping DS for WiFi (And because I have one). Game Boy would kinda be stupid unless they filled it with like 3 EA's.
There has been considerable effort given to making vs availble through this web site. Himatchi, Octgn and VSed are all great tools to make decks from every set, play online with real people, and work out ideas without having to pay for money cards until you know you really want to get them.
It isn't perfect, but it works for the most part. I think anything Konami will put out will not be as good as what is already available online----for free.
Most likely true. But it would be nice to play VS at any time with a hand-held against skillful AI. That way you could run the gauntlet with a number of decks without having to coordinate with anyone else.
Also, it would really help the loner types.
Of course, how smart could the AI possibly be with so many deckbuilds and combinations in the game?

quoted for emphasis...
yeah... i used to play a Magic compluter game (called "Duels of the Planeswalkers") where the CPU would do stupid stuff like Giant Growth your attackers...
nothing can replace playing experience that playing a real person in meatspace provides...
i've done a lot of testing online with OCTGN and even though you're playing against a real person... it's still not the same.
now... having said that.... i'd probably still shell out the cash for an X-Box VS game.... at least renting it to see how it was....
