Originally posted by spadeoftheace Yes, I understand that this is mainly for fun, but wether we like it or not, this card will change things in the game. I'm just hoping we don't waste our efforts making this into one of those cards that will never be run in an actual deck cough*cough*bumblebee and mechanix* cough*cough
Maybe you should ask Canamrock about Bumblebee... lol ;)
And Gotham is too hard? Huh? You mean good? When the hell did they win a 10k without Cosmic Radiation or My Beloved? Gotham has some great cards but could desperately use better characters to make them playable mono. I think it'd even be cool if they had a team up deck that was tier 1-1.5 again.
The Knights, the Inmates, and the League.
If the Inmates win, there might be a cou. I think most players would be happy with a Knights or League card. The League would get my vote if I had to vote again (For some reason, I voted for the Inmates).
But seriously, who wouldn't love an 11-drop Joker?

Damn. Why y'all hating on a strong black woman? Y'know why I did poorly at the 10K? Racism. Yeah, that's right, I went there... :p lol
But seriously, you know the AI character we'd need to see? Calendar Man. THAT would be an interesting power to make... lol Does the Calculator count as an AI character? That'd be an awesome bit of legacy support given the general level of 'Birds of Prey' support given in the Gotham Knights. And for that matter, it'd probably be best to make the fan card, if it's a GK character, into one of the Birds of Prey supporters. Savant or his barn would be interesting choices. ^_^
Originally posted by RanmaSolo What WERE you thinking playing her though, really? lol Did you lose a bet? :p
I actually had a reason to run her. The short version: after the PCQ I'd split for the win running the Titans, I'd never actually had Beast Boy do anything particularly useful. Furthermore, I'd expected our area to be more on the hot jank tech like System Failure and the Society Scarecrow. Additionally, her burn ability was actually proving to be somewhat useful against stall decks, of which I faced one... Glock run by Patrick Yapjoco in round 1. Realistically, though, no game of mine was in any considerable way impacted by running her instead of Beast Boy. In fact, I found her working better for me than he had been. The real problem was just a matter of a few other deck tweaks I should have made, and a general lack of any ability to draw well that day. It happens to everyone eventually; for me, it just seems to be correlated to the stakes of the game I'm playing.
Anyhow, back to the topic at hand.
(If anyone else is curious about what happened, we can pull a Stu and start a new thread on it.) ^_^
Here's a question, I'm a comic reader, but have kinda limited budget so I haven't exactly read everything. If it's a League character is Deathstroke a possible crossover/dual-affiliation choice? I love me some Deathstroke.
Nope, I can't think of a real connection between Deathstroke and the League. Expect a version of him on the Villains United team, though. It'd be interesting to see one of the Cain family members show up on the LoA... Cassie was trained by them, and David Cain worked for Ra's at one point, I believe. There can well be a few LoA characters remaining for legacy support, though perhaps not enough for a new set focusing on them.

As flattering as that was, I am a bit concerned about WHERE you would pull him. Some (private) parts are off limits. Unless you promise to be gentle.
Back on topic, I don't think we need to worry about one card being "bad for the game". They won't let us break it, and one character is not going to be able to do much damage in the long run.
Seeing how these 3 affiliations are part of the whole "Batman World" anyway. We might be able to push for a possible dual affiliated character that shares to of the 3 choices.
So Biz, Walter, what are our potential options? If any??
