I was once playing a team game, 3 on 3, where I was playing mono-doom.

So I've got Power Cosmic in my hand, and my mate grabs it off me, and plays it.

DURING THE COMBAT PHASE.

So we got to recover first. We were beaten next turn.

I was playing my Underworld Wall against CE, he team attacks with nimrod, mark V, 2 mark 2's and 2 wild sintenals into Varnae.I activate, stun his nimrod, then he discards his hand to pump the unholy christ out of magneto, to through him into Varnae, I activate rogue and mimic and give mags -30 def, then i only take stun since i have deathwatch on the field.

The other is when I ws playing my concealed beats deck and i told my opponent who was playing new brotherhood and i told him i would only attack one turn, gets to turn 6, and I wail on him take out his entire board which puts him at 32 and me at -15 then I pump vision to a 48 and wail on him in the face droping him to -16, from 50 to -16 in one turn, that was funny to see the look on his face.

playing titans with morlocks and had a leech and tarbaby on board titans I evade with tar baby to remove I think it was a ttg I can't remember, he then garth's in response and i then evade leech and discard. I got my taint haded to me for the rest of the game but i just thought that was still funny

meh someone asked me in the middle of a local draft do i like having big hands.....

Okay this is too good not to share (at least I found it funny) I won a local tourney by dealing extra breakthrough attacking with Professor Xavier using a Flying Kick.

I once got to turn 24 because an opponent was playing gamma doom and I was playing dark phoenix all the way back before gamma doom even had a name :)

I once played a childlock and cleverly placed my invisible woman 1 drop with counter in my support row, and my opponent played power cosmic after recruiting a submariner. yuck :(

I once played a fastball special by exhausting the teamed up aunt may and mary jane watson.

I once used demonic consultation in a game of magic for a card that i had just taken out of my deck a few games before.

Then one time, I played a fastball special on a nimrod while I was team attacking him with no stun cyclops and no stun nightcrawler. my opponent laughed at first, saying that the fastball special wouldn't stun him, until I pointed out that the attack wasn't over yet :)

I also had a game against an xstall once where my opponent dropped jean grey on turn 8, and I responded with etrigan. He stopped using jean grey immediately.

Lol so you're that gamma doom guy? Read in my 1st post I posted something about that, and all those other ones are pretty funny too especially the child lock one

It was way back at the beginning of the game, like 4 days in or something. Our games were all screwed up back then because the rule book never said both players could attack on each turn :)

so we kept getting to turns 10 and more. But it did make 7 drop wolvie really good :)

Another rotten one was my 2 drop bishop got stunned by a puppet master, and didn't stun himself.

I attacked a puppet master, whose contolle played a backfire on bishop, only to then power-up the puppetmaster.

My funniest VS moment happened last month at a PCQ. I was playing my stand alone X-Statix deck, and my opponent was playing Avengers Reservist. It went to turn 8, I had out Zeitgeist and Anarchist (Man of People). My opponent had She Hulk, Wonder Man, Rick Jones, Quicksilver, Hawkeye, and Carol Danvers. He team attacked both my guys stunning them both, leaving me at -3 and him at 18. He passes to me, and I flip Mutant of the Year, KOing both my guys putting me up to 3. He started laughing, and said how it was pointless to stall for another turn, cause with no characters out I was gonna lose. Turn 9 I recruit Imperiex, he checks our life totals, drops his hand, stands up and walks off. His reaction was just priceless, I now have that score sheet taped to my trade binder.

This actually happened at the first PCQ ever in San Diego. It was during one of the Magic Pro Tours. A lot of the players who didn't make Day 2 came to play in the PCQ (Neil Reeves, Gabe Walls, Adam Horvath, Adam Prosak, etc). Anyway, both players were playing Doom Bomb decks to Dark Phoenix, they went to turn 25, one guy got decked and the other has 5 cards left. Matt Hyra, Scott Elliott, Ian Estrin, Mike Hummel all huddled around the match and Hyra announced, "ladies and gentlemen, we have a Dark Phoenix on the board," when the first Dark Phoenix surfaced. The ENTIRE room applauded and it quickly drew a crowd.... and this was at the 0-2 table, haha.

I didn't say that I was the one he was talking about for sure, though I have posted my tale here before. My opponent and i were both reluctant to play our ace in the hole until one of us was ready for it. I finally played phoenix after drawing another 1-4 drops and he went ahead and bmombed to screw us both.

This was as I said only a few days in to the game, before we even knew that both players got to attack each turn.


Of course, I know that now ;)
