I heard about something that happened with the Earth-2 Batman. One day Bruce Wayne was water skiing over a man made lake he had in his backyard. He fell in as he was attemping the forbidden triple quad spin into a gray eagle and a half spit. When he came to his senses he found himself in Washington DC. He walked around trying to figure out what was going on. Moments later, he was about to buy a hot dog when Janet Reno came out and challenged him to a dance off. They put out there best moves one by one. Janet came in with an Electric Slide, but Wayne busted down a poplock. As they went at if for hours, fan started gathering. They pulled out even more spectacular moves until it was Wayne's turn. He decided to bust out his secret tech, the "Earth-1". The dance enchanted the crowd and while doing his spinny moves the sky began to light up. When he did the final move, the sky opened and another Bruce Wayne came down. Both Waynes started to break dance. And Janet Reno gave up. She gave him a special key to open up a door down the street. When both Waynes went inside the door a man yelled out "Welcome to the Thunderdome #####!". The man pulled out a spoon and killed both bruce waynes. While drinking a delicious Mr Pibb, he noticed that the bodies were gone. The Noid had ran off with their bodies. The Noid began to rebuild both Bruces into a new man. When they were restored they set off to get revenge on their killer. While tracking the killer they spoted a Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Arcade game, they decided that the winner would kill their murder. While Bruce 1 decided on using Magneto, Psylocke, and Sentinel, Bruce 2 used Cable, Sentinel, and Captain Cammando. They squared of in a battle that would end all battles. Strong Kicks and Jab Punches left and right. Their fingers smashing down the buttons till they bled. And when Bruce 2 was about to finish off Bruce 1, he boomed out "It is over and it shall end in a glory of...hey what the hell" When they looked down they saw nothing but a black screen which quickly turned into the rating page. They looked on as the screen rotated onto the top man "AGL 3782656". They wondered what had happened. A kid walked by and gave this message of wisdom "Hey stupids you need put quarters in before you can play" They both left in shame not knowing how to use an arcade console. They decided to shut down their Operating System, Windows ME, instead of living on with such shame. And thats how Bill Gates invented Windows XP.

We already have ways to make Superman unique and you gotta think that they're going to do a Earth 2 Superman too. I don't know, are there any Batmans that you'd like to have multiple in play anyways?

Okay, this whole situation isn't hard to figure out.

It's quite possible that alternate reality stuff will have a representative mechanic, so they can be the same, but different.

I would assume that there will be Plot Twists that effect Earth 2 Characters differently. Or not at all. Or something that makes characters with the Earth-2 Version teamed-up. Something like that.

Other than the fact that having 4 consecutive drops worth of Batman on the board would be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen done with cardboard? ;)

I doubt UDE will actually go ahead with a way to make Earth 2 non unique from Earth 1. The reason that batman is Earth 2 is becuase he was part of the JSA, origionally who were from Earth 2 and returned back there when A. luthor recreated all the earths. Though I could be wrong.
