Deadshot does shoot fidler because they were being evaluated as a team. When their Eval. mission was over, everyone checked their watch to see if they got green for "good" or red for "dead". Guess what fiddler got?
Deadshot's shooting Fiddler because he failed in his part of the mission (Villians United #1). Mockingbird had him "cut" from the team and replaced with Catman. That's why there's 8 Secret Six characters: The six, Mockingbird and one replacement.
Here's the stuff I spotted, people may have already mentioned some:
(a) Alternate Art foil is Jay Garrick <> The Flash, with his card text 'running' off the card
(b) Fatality with both the version and the flavor text [finish him]
(c) 8-drop Black Adam. His ability is to discard VU characters to give all characters you control +1/+1. His flavor text includes: "... to his people he is a bastion of strength."
(d) Much of the VU flavor text are supposed to be Calculator's files [with the numbers representing the first appearance of the character].
Related notes: 2-drop Psycho's flavor text indicates that Psycho had taken over Calculator's mind to write the file. Similarly, Bizzaro's flavor text points out how 'bizzaro' his vengence effect is. Also, Alex Luthor's 4-drop indicates his file is missing or corrupted ...
(e) 3-drop Mr. Terrific's flavor text comments on the 1-drop Mr. Terrific's flavor text.
(f) Zatanna is refered to as "magic babe numero uno" in her flavor text; nightshade is refered to as "magical babe number two" Also, her 1-drop compares her to enchantress, and the 4-drop finishes the thought. It starts with 1-drop Detective Chimp ... and much of the Shadowpact flavor text is Chimp describing the members of the team.
(g) 3-drop Huntress' shadow has both a bat and a cat ... hinting at her parents
(h) There's likely something in the background of Calculator's 7-drop ... not sure but it looks like the images on the monitor's might be easter eggs.
(i) The only stacker other than the hawks I can see is the Jakeem/Thunderbolt one ...
Originally posted by CreamSodaMafia Advanced Warning and one of the Sandman characters have NEARLY identical art. If you put them side by side it looks as if on the Character hes fighting someone but on Advanced Warning he is dreaming about the fight. The only difference in the art is him laying in bed on one picture.
Yeah! I saw that too. Its Advanced Warning and 1 of those Hourman cards
Originally posted by CreamSodaMafia Profparm, that explaination fits, and if you look at the Dr. Occult card there is what looks to be a rose at the bottom of the picture.
To give a bit more explanation - Rose and Dr. Occult are extensions of the same mystic entity. They literally "swap places" with only one existing in physical form at a time (usually - there are special circumstances, most frequently in other dimensions). They represent the feminine and masculine side of each individual.
On a sidenote, think of how progressive that was back in the '30's when Dr. Occult first premiered (he was literally the very first costumed super-hero - almost 3 years before Action Comics #1).
Thunderbolt, Yz is a top stacker with Jakeem Williams . The cards interact great together too.
Thunderbolt, Yz (JSA 5)
Activate, discard two JSA character cards or a card named Jakeem Williams -> Search your deck for a card, put it into your hand, and shuffle your deck. Use this power only once per turn.
"Your wish is my command, my main man!"
Jakeem Williams, Thunderbolt (JSA 1)
Activate -> If Jakeem Williams is in play, search your deck for a JSA character card with cost 4 or greater, reveal it, put it into your hand, and shuffle your deck. Put Jakeem Williams on the top of your deck.

Comic fans could elaborate?

Yep. They're book numbers and first apperances alright.
Black Adam - Ref:MF\1 - Marvel Family #1
Dr. Psycho - Ref:WW\1-5 - Wonder Woman Vol. 1 #5
Sabbac - Ref:O\3-3 - Ousiders Vol. 3 #3
Calculator - Ref:DC\463 - Detective Comics #463
Fairly obvious, but I thought I'd point out the flavor on these, to be official...
Brother I Satellite - "I am Brother Eye..."
Brother Eye - "...and I am alive."
Also...
"Rook Control" has the flavor text "Knight, your target is two floors up and one room over." Two spaces forward and one sideways is how a knight moves in chess.
I don't see any cards that spell out S... T... U... like the new Longshot, but I did see a DaVinci Code documentary that drew a red outline "M" on the Last Supper painting for proof.
I'll do that for Mulletman later today to show you I'm not crazy.
Now that I think about it, when I take out a big red marker and write "Gabe" on one of my copies of Dr. Doom, I think Doom is trying to spell out "Gabe"!
