well..i went 3-1 in mine and finished 4th...got playmat, shirt, deckbox, one Dr. Fate... there's alot of good things in the set, and at first sight Shadowpact is deceiving..
and my boosters pack told me that if i was going to play contructed that i should play Shadowpact:
2 The Conclave (1 foil)
1 June Moon, Enchantres (4 drop)
1 Nightmaster (5 drop)
1 Transmutation
This was my second pre-release, and second trip to Neutral Ground. really not too bad. I'd say it was run very well, and it was cool playing against people that had a solid knowledge of the game.
I decided to go to my sneak peak at the last minute, and I'm glad I did. I did terrible, going 1-3 and placing 47th kinda bites. But I got the awesome playmat (which is the reason why I went), So I'm happy.
I took 3rd out of about 40 at seattle in my first prerealese and i tell you what 5 drop ragman is insane!!! Everygame i hit him on 5 i absolutely dominated the board. During my 3rd game i had him up to a 17/14 (the helm and amulet and his ability went off twice) and didn't even need to hit my 7 drop to win the game. Also, Shadowpact has a ton of good tricks. June Moon @ Good Witch or Bad Witch is are both awsome cards and all the tricks that shadowpact has are extremely good. Finally, this set is going to be awsome due to the fact that everyone (including secret 6) are playable.
Calculator was the only 7-drop in my pool... so i was kinda scared about off init turn 7's.....
...but he won me every game i played him.
...especially with the VU pump card that has you return a character to your hand, and The Baddest of the Bad (that lets you return a character to your hand to search your deck for ANOTHER character!)
Ragdoll is insane with parademon (such a great combo),
Its Not over yet is also great for secret six and in sealed, and House of Secrets kept me alive a lot to get to turn 8 with my Dr. Fate (no artifacts though). I'll be the first to say it and try to do it, but Secret Six in constructed is going to be Tier 1 i guarantee. Please no laughing, its true. they are gonna be crazy good.
Best moment opponent has stunned my 14/14 Capt. Marvel, and sends his 7 drop DS into my Phantom Stranger, I exhaust to play Revitalize recovering CM, he stuns PS, DS stuns, he K.O.s my WW 5 drop. He sends his 6 into my 1/1 CM...legal, pitch my last card cry out SHAZAM.
GG
only wish I could'a' gotten a T-shirt (you'd think at 4-1) ah well a reason to go to PCQs...oh other than robbing the non-Qed of their points.
In Tampa Florida, we had a fairly slight turn out (20), and we only played four rounds. I won the even and packed a combo of JSA and the Shadowpact. T-spheres is amazing, and all of the hourmen and black alice type cards turned out to be game breaking. Free=become a better drop!
Where did all of the attack pumps go? However, we got the better version of acrododge! Lose the nasty art, but watch the birdie.
Shadowpact and Secret Six were the overall power houses at the sneak peak. Checkmate had some REALLY good tricks the likes of which I haven't seen. I can't wait for june because I see DCR making a cannon ball splash in the new meta. Some of my team mates have already got their jank minds going into over drive thinking of some preatty sick combos and they have only seen about 1/3 of the whole set.

You so crazy. I think the set is stupendous. Best locations. Fun to play in sealed. Shakin' up the Meta like what. Shadowpact is the team of the set. Tier 1 all the way, says I.
great time. we went to 2 sneak peaks and we did a flight for each.
We actually got god packs for some of our prize support. every 4th pack had 4 rares in it.
I ended up getting 1st at the 2nd sneak peak I attended.
i won with the 5 drop thunderbolt and i got the corelating 1 drop to ditch. i usually searched out for an advanced warning which basically allowed me to win everygame.
I went jsa checkmate.
t-sheres is quite the nutz.
Really dissaponted in the hawkmans. they proved to be not as good as some of the other drops.
checkmate has some really solid stuff.
Ragdoll the 4 drop you can recover every turn was amazing.
I noticed with this set it was really easy to keep board advantage especially with really good cards like revitalize.
Most of the games I played i kept most all my characters on the feild except maybe my 2 drop.
that 5 drop omac guy is incredible in sealed! he is a 5 drop and a 7 drop and his ability is incredible. finishing move for everyone that isn't army.
Went 3-1 in the first one, coming second on resistance.
Won one of the drafts, came second in another.
This being Europe we only got one deck tin per tournament and no shirts or playmats, so I was stuck hoping to do well in the second sneak.
5 rounds of swiss, cut to top 4, I am on 2-2 going into the last round, get paired down :-/ Manage to win at 0 endurance to -1 (unfortunately due to opponent's misplay on 7), Waiting for the ratings and.... came 4th on resistance ahead of the guy who beat me at the first sneak :-)
Semi-final ended up with me at -5 to my opponent's -6 when the smoke settled on turn 7. Then the final was smooth sailing winning two games straight and my tin :-D.
Some characters in this set are so massive that they are near-impossible to pass up in draft or sealed: Hourmen and Captain Marvel would be the main culprits.
The quality of the 7-drops we actually found to be a bit... questionable. Deathstroke is a beast and Alan Scott seems pretty good (although I still haven't seen him), but other than that they are all a bit blah.
It was a good weekend spent with some good people playing a good set so... I am happy heading into the deadly month of anticipation for the actual cards to build decks with.
