Looking at the field, the following become evident:
1.) Good Guys, so far as we know, becomes the pre-eminent rush deck in the field. It's got good attack power, recovery and countering tricks if they think it necessary, and it can still win fast.
2.) There are dramatically few out-of-combat stun effects in DC Modern. This makes both June Moons and Roy Harper <> Arsenal all the more important.
3.) Good tutoring and draw power always goes a long way to determining which decks are most dominant. That means Injustice Gang has to be a force that you reckon with - especially when you consider that so few decks can stun Lex-3 outside of combat in the DC Modern format. Plus, they get one of the few really good off-initiative defensive cards (Power Siphon) and a win condition (Scarecrow).
4.) Secret Six have a lot more potential in this format than people expect.

i'm not sure but i'm pretty sure he does.
that would make him a combat phase only stun
True, true. Good point. He's still an initiative-stealing character, though, which isn't to be sneezed at.
But yeah, looks like June Moon is the only character who can stun Lex-3 before he makes you draw extra cards. Which is good for both Shadowpact and Injustice Gang.
i think that JSA and Check mate can have some union. ANd again JS with another team i see this gay being so power against any curve deck and with the new fatality ruch decks can be very harmed and i think that a good, good guy deck with some mate characters and the location habilities can do something with roy harper at 5
Checkmate doesn't need a team up in Modern. They have plenty of good locations to use with Roy, if they do want to use him. Not to mention they have a finishing move on a stick character, a guy who searches out said locations, they have a searcher, a recovery card, and a variety of other things rolling for them.
I think Lex will be a bit overrate without the good doctor helping him in the format. Not that Joker, HS isn't a good 4 drop. I still think this deck will do great, but I'm not sure with Crisis so untested right now.
I think the three top decks in contention, that we know of is
JLU (JLI/JLA team up that we all know & love)
Injustice Burn
Shadowpact (using the life balance w/ June Moon, Zatanna, & Shazam to stall and win the game on 7)
IG will be good but IMO is going to miss the cards that where keeping the cards in the other payer's hands (Political Pressure, Unmasked namely) So any deck that can underdrop and/or Power-up will thrump them. I would stll think they will make a good showing, but JLI/JLA and maybe Secret Society sound like top dogs to me.
Originally posted by VsNinja03 Secret Six wouldnt work cause of cards like Transmutation floating around. This card is amazing, and its #1 target would be secret six victorious.
Granted this card is very sweet indeed but if you look at the mechanics of secret six and how the cards truly mesh together then you will see for yourself that you could easily get 3 of these babies set and your opponent better be ready to deal with seeing all 3. You could flip one but I think you are gambling to only flip one. Sometimes you are going to steal that win but odds are greatly against...obviously having 2 or more of this card set is going to help you meet that alternate win condition a lot easier.
Just out of curiosity what about Injustice Stall. I mean this deck is steadily being overlooked by almost everyone but yet it can hold it's on against curve. Off Curve Decks present a small problem from time to time but this deck has the ability to effectively stall all out to whatever alternate win condition you have input into the deck. For me it reall just depends on what I need to do at that moment. Just thought I would ask why this deck isn't being given any love.
Maybe some kind of equipment crazy deck? These two sets have some of the best equipment released w/ Nth Metal, Trident and the Fate Artifacts. The two Blue Beetles can easily call them out, as can Dr. Fate's Tower. It's almost a who needs Tech Upgrade kind of deal.
Here's one for ya: Howza bout Katar Hol w/ the three Fate Artifacts? Mmm, beefy Birdman.
