Here are the rules I think EAs should follow, both for Hobby League, and for PCQs and PCs.
1) No team locked cards.
While Fizzle is cool and all, I don't think the card should ever be strictly usable for a Gotham deck. That takes a lot of cards out of the running right there.
2) No Commons unless they are vital to many builds.
So Slaughter Swamp woudl be OK, since so many decks can use it, and the same with Flying Kick. But One Two Punch just wont cut it.
3) One of Each!
At each event, or in each hobby league, I think one should be a character, and the other a plot. If there are more than 2, then you add a location or an equipment to the mix.
4) Rarity
They really should be almost all rares. With few exceptions, I think having rares at the top at least should be set in stone.
5) Playability.
Cards like Midnight Sons actually go beyond these rules, because they are such enablers. They actually help define a metagame. Vicarious Living is another great candidate for an EA based on this approach.
So with all this in mind, what would I like to see as EAs for this set?
