but the movie story is different. here is the plot summary that i got off IMDB (internet movie database)

"J. Jonah Jameson Jr. returns from a mission from space with mysterious sample. This sample bonds itself to Peter Parker and gives him enhanced powers along with a new suit. Using his new found powers Peter must face the second Green Goblin, Harry Osborn after Harry discovered Spider-Man's true identity. Eventually Harry seeks help from Sandman, a new villain who was transformed due to radiation from an atomic bomb being tested."

this resembles the cartoons series plot of how he got the black suit. and sandman is a cool addition

and some how another villian is put in there next to Venom because there was an interview with Sam Raimi and he said there is four villians and the last one will be revealed soon. so probably around Comic Con or soemthing like that.

Should we assume that the last villian is going to be Dr. Connors?

IMDB used to list on the Aunt May actress' credit list that she plays Aunt May/Carnage in the Spider-Man 3.

Though that could mean all kinds of things, not that she's a 4th villian.

I don't see how they'll fit 4 villians into the movie without planning for a sequal.

Also, it looks like Gwen Stacy is in the trailor. Which is hot.

The last villain could very well be the Lizard. Or at least another Sinister Six Character.

yes Gwen Stacy is in the movie and she is played by Ron Howards daughter Dallas Howard

dr. conners sounds likely cuz he helped spiderman alot in the cartoons during all the symbiote stuff.

Don't believe IMDB - most of the time the information they receive is second hand and shouldn't be believed :(

Besides, Dr. Connors was already in Spider-man 2, and he didn't become the Lizard then, so no guarantees.

Green Goblin #2 wasn't the Hobgoblin.

The Hobgoblin was another guy who found a stash of Green Goblin armor/equipment/glider and started off on his own.

Yeah, she's been confirmed for a while, but the trailor's exciting because (as far as I know) it's the first view we've gotten of her.

Going to be very interesting to see what they do with Gwen, considering its pretty much uncharted territory. After all, she's been dead for a while at this point in Spidey's career (even in the Ultimates, I believe).

Rumor had it that Kirsten Dunst isn't sticking with the franchise after Spider-Man 3 (should a sequal occur).

Gwen would be a replacement I'd be extremely happy with (since she didn't get much in the Ultimates, and Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane debuted her and then had a couple flashback issues).
