Originally posted by boothwah Hmm - Roy is the sick twisted nutz. I think titans is still pretty decent without him. Terra/Tim/Red Star/Garth/TTG all good stuff. Roy just makes it obscene.
I can remember a lot of my games taht I win w/out Roy.
Can also remember a lot of games that I came back from horrible deficits that wany other deck hsould have lost...And roy let me win.
Yeah, I remember back in the days of CS, Roy was just another 3 drop.
I know everyone seems to forget all those Games they Lost to TT, when they didnt even play Roy, Roy is the Stone cold nutz but hes just a Understated 3 drop without the team, get off him.
Also I have no Idea what you expect from GA? HiV is a the most aggresiive deck you can get right now, TT and GG are Short Curve, that either own the combat phase,(GG) or Own you in every phase (TT). Glock is really the only stall deck that can do anything, unless there is a way to put life Gain into CE....
For now, I'm glad titans and voltage are the two most popular decks. I play a off/on curve arkham inmates/secret society deck with the mad hatter + poison ivy combo, mikado and mosha, deadshot and slaughter swamp silliness. Titans is pretty much an auto win for me unless they draw all their betrayals or if they RFC poison ivy (but most titans players go for Dr. Light 3 though...) And playing voltage is just a matter of me not making mistakes.

Can't say much for it's other matchups tho....
I thought I was the only one who made this observation. Its true that tnb rips voltage to shreds and part of the reason I love the deck so much.
On to the titans thing, I don't see the problem roy is a pain and titans consistently produce good numbers in golden age events yet rarely win them. If you have a deck that a large number of people play and it is solid it iwll inevitably top 8, and at these events a large number of people play titans.
Heck at least titans takes some skill to play, my only beef with golden is voltage, its fast, cheap and takes no skill to play properly. There are so many cheap tihngs in this deck its disgusting.
and just for the record good guys which is a solid, non cheap, deck beat them both. So there are answers out there.

*squeals like a school girl* REALLY!?!?! YAY!! I feel SOOOO happy. I thought my Inmates would do better if I concentrated on Hatter. Titans and Voltage are gonna HATE me!! :devious:
Ummm....does anyone know where I can get some Ivy (2) around here? :ermm:
Originally posted by the_puritan i placed 9th with Shadowpact there.... i went 4-1 against Titans that day (yes, i played 5! Titans matches)....
....but i could only beat High Voltage by knocking my opponent unconcious and forging the match-slip.
so, the moral of the story is, get paired up with lots of Titans and bring a bat for your High Voltage games.
Originally posted by ukyo_rulz Personally, I've always thought that Garth was the problem. I can beat a Titans player that hits Roy but misses Garth pretty easily.
I voluntarily missed garth about 5 times that 10k and got 11th. Garth is NOT the problem.
Wait for LA. Obviously there is no valuable information to obtain in a thread like this except: yes, 10k Boston was useless outside of the fact that some guys ruined fiddler.dec for others who have decent lists.
Originally posted by Tombster212 the_puritan- I lost to a Shadowpact in Boston running Voltage. Sure, I missed 3 completely, but no one had to knock me unconscious.
...actually..... i think i played you....
if i remember correctly, your deck refused to give you anything useful after turn 2.
i guess that the other "win condition".....
;-)
...but, did you see me keep reaching under the table whenever you recruited a character?
