Hylander was the bomb format in magic. That and Hardcore. Way to combine them into one. Now have you ever played Stack of Sh!t?
hmmm does Unaffiliated count as a team that I can play? If so go Mojo! hmmm I'll go with Unaffiliated, Revenge Squad, Fearsome Five (they have 10 chars right?), Kang (Growing Man FTW), Deathstroke, Negative Zone, Skrull, and to finish it off I'll go with Morlocks. Pure wootage!
Yes, unaffiliated actually counts as a team, if you are so inclined. We actually had a discussion on this. They still follow the unaffiliated rules of course.
Vicarious Living might get the heaveho as well. Basically I want to get rid of any card that is an automatic include regardless of deck.
I would dump all none team stamped Char search then. Weapon of Choice would actually be really good in this format since you don't have a number 1 guy you want and Secret Origins could also be benifical and there are way to many cards that combo with SttG.
i've wanted to play highlander VS ever since i played a couple games of highlander magic. but it was 150 card decks and both players draw from the same deck. pretty fun.
ah we had the same thing! only we called it "foils" since every card in the deck was foiled & we had no limit to how many cards could be in the game's deck.
I played my 100 card deck yesterday @ the hobbyleague, but the other realmers in my group couldnt make a deck in time so i could only play against the normal stuff. i went 3-4 so not too bad. F4, Avengers, MK, VU. i can post a list later if anyone wants it, its pretty janky. overload ftw
Awesome article... I may have to try said format some time... a 100 card deck designed to get out the Fate Artifacts as fast as possible.... with the rest of the characters being fat.
PS: Oh, and here's my suggestion for a name:
Call it COLLECTOR'S EDITION, as:
a) some collectors only grab 1 copy of a card
AND
b) Most 1st issues of a Comic series (1... that magic number again) have a splashy "COLLECTORS EDITION" on the front... Well at least they did in the early 90's...
