I'd like to remain positive on this point, but jeez! IT'S SEALED! The point has been made that those cards were never technically yours, assuming you were planning on playing. As its also been stated, eBay or trade for the cards that you so deperately needed to make your weekend tick. Hell, if it'll end this prattle, I'LL trade with you. Would it make it better? (walks away muttering to himself) "fricking frakking rasum flipping..."
You are not allowed to drop before the swap, as the cards are not tecnically yours, you are free to drop befor the 1st round begins but only after you swap. I know this because my husband opened 2 EOME and tried to drop, was not allowed to. Oddly the Judges friend got the packs!:devious:

There is so much variation on this, that I'd really like it if UDE could come up with a rule, and put it in the TO documents. Some judges allow you to pay for your packs, open them and drop, while others require that you swap, and some apparently require that you play the first round. Clarification would be nice.
It has been my experience that you cannot open packs and then drop because you opened goodies. the goodies are not yours, they are someone else's. tough luck.
since someone else registered your list, if you add cards it will be blatantly obvious as someone else wrote out your pack contents.
you know.... this seems like it would be true.... but how many times have you been on the receiving end of a mis-registered card-pool?
nine times out of ten, someone ticked off the 6-drop Batman instead of the 4-drop.... but there's been times when the card isn't even close and the judges just give the list a once-over and initial it.
Drax the Destroyer FOIL
Thanos 8
Thanos 6
Doomstadt
Creation of a Herald FOIL
I got:
Bron Char - Lunatic Legion
Armageddon
Syphonn - Energy Leech FOIL
Unthinkable
Rougue - Total Transformation
Come on now, foil creation and a thanos 8 and I get THIS.
Ah well.
WTF?
you are complaining because you lost a 8 drop and a card worth use only if you have AT LEAST 2 cards named dr.doom in your deck (worthless play doomstadt in a sealed 30 cards otherwise) and you got ARMAGEDDON?
quit complaining please...is such nosense.
I don't see how it in any way prevents cheating. If someone wants to stack his deck, he'll use the power of voodoo to do so after the cut. It seems that the system is just there to waste time and let someone get his greasy paws on my cards.
In a recent sealed pack, I was the recipient of an extremely unlucky deckcut.
Here's what I would have drawn:
Thanos(6)
Supreme Intelligence(8)
I Must Obey
Purple Man(6)
Here's what I drew instead:
Franklin Richards
Tanaja
Alaris
Power Struggle
Of course, I lost because I didn't draw my Supreme Intelligence. End this cutting madness that threatens to cut my heart to pieces!
I don't know for sure, but I think the system is designed so that the guy who opens my packs, sifts out all the decent rares, and replaces them with his Zorba's. It's a conspiracy I tell you.
At my very 1st PCQ (some 2+ years ago) a kid behind me opened a foil Savage Beatdown and squealed w/ delight as he showed the people around him. He was somewhat non-enthused when informed he'd be giving these packs to someone else. Needless to say, when he got around to registering his card pool, the Beatdown was suddenly in his backpack replaced w/ some jank rare. Moral of the story? If you are going to swipe a card from the sealed pool, don't be an idiot and squeal w/ delight cause the people around you are watching.
Oh honey you're so cute. Watch the sarcasm drip from his post for a minute....
Now look, I thought we'd established that you weren't allowed to flirt with married women on this forum - That's my job now, dammit! I'm calling my union rep!
