In the game, I mean. If Hellboy and all memory of his existence were to suddenly disappear in the comics, Hellboy stories would just be about giant, supernatural monsters eating people.
Pretty damn solid card. It's pretty neat that the two decks interact with each other as a stand alone product plus it fits to flavour in terms of comics.
I'd rank it up there much like freesom said. I smell some modern doom/thule with a splash of hellboy. Thule and doom are both going to be army themes, and if they don't team up hellboy, you can just ko him to 3 drop doom if he becomes a liability. Can't wait to see the rest of the set, and I will be mad if this is a one of in the deck.
Where does this fit on the Scale of Fetching? Better than Kooey but not quite Enemy? Mobilize level?
It's going to depend on Hellboy ... They said it was 4, 6 and there was a small one, did they say he was a 1-drop?
The card is unlimited search under very specific conditions. The low drop Hellboy in a deck that is willing to underdrop [which the Thule is ok with, what with the army build] would likely make the best use of the card. In a curve build, you'd have to hit it on 4 or 6. Hitting it on 4 could mean being able to grab Flame Trap at the right moment. Could include a 1 of of Steely Resolve or Armageddon to tutor up on 6 for Modern fun with this card.
(Something is Coming is an uncommon, whatever that means for numbers per deck.)
The old starters would have 2 of each common, 1 of each uncommon and the rare would be the Foil 7-drop [or EA].
However, that was with 40 card decks. They could go with 3 commons, 2 uncommons, 1 rare [we'll see if they spoil any 'rares']. There are also probably going to be some generic cards that show up in both decks [and/or cards better in the team up as they work for either team, but wook better together ... such as a kind of Child Named Valeria type card]
