Since the Ninja Turtles began as a comic book property it makes a lot of sense to include them in the Vs. System. Obviously everyone has their favorites (I want a Watchmen set myself) but it's just a matter of UDE being able to use the property, and there being enough commercial interest to warrant a set. Hellboy isn't my favorite character, but I can't deny his popularity, or the fact that his set is bringing new people into the game.
So yeah, I fully support a Ninja Turtles set. My hope is that it would be a little darker, and based on the original comic books rather than the cartoon series.
seriously though, i would buy a tmnt essential collection like it owed me money. i'm sure with tmnt you could get a ton of random people aged 18-24 to take a look at vs, honestly i know a ton of people that used to be in love with the turtles and i am sure that they would think about jumping on board for at least the nostalgia factor.
I know I ran this idea down earlier (and I still would not buy it) but it seems like with the #1 movie in the country and a license they apparently hold that porting TMNT to VS would be a no brainer.
Unfortunately it will likely be too little and too late since they cannot react fast enough to capitalize on the film. I would love to see some kids enjoying their Turtle cards and graduating to Marvel and DC.
I don't think you realize the size of transformers. A semi truck, with trailer, is slightly larger than a turtle, event of the mutant variety ...
Size matters not...

Personally, if they're smart, they wouldn't try to capitalize on the theater release. Instead, they need to hit the DVD - so many more people anymore buy the DVDs, plus... you release an EC at the same time as the DVD, plug in a promo card in the DVD... suddenly there's not only promo cards getting put out there, but also the EC on the shelves to get bought.
I'm an only-Marvel guy right now... it's the only set I'm interested in, but boy I think I"d have to jump on board for a Turtles.
And while I don't know anything about this "Hellrazer" that people are talking about... I doubt you'll see it as an EC anytime soon for the simple fact of marketing. It's too close in name to Hellboy for the casual player to hear and pick up. Someone would say Hellrazer to someone not really listening and they'd say "oh, yea, hell-whats-ya-call-it... I already have that"
I would support a TMNT EC because I have loved the turltes since my toddler days and really enjoyed the ideas for the fantasy cards on VS Realms of course I would have Leonardo as the 7 drop and Ralph as the 6drop, but other than that everything was good.
If we're getting all 80s nostalgic here, I'd love to see a He-Man and the Masters of the Universe EC and/or She-Ra: Princess of Power. I guess it would be Masters of the Universe vs, hmm did Skeletor actually have a name for his team or could we just call them 'Enemies of Eternia?' She-Ra would have to be The Great Rebellion vs The Horde. The 80s were awesome.
