As to QuckFate, yeah it's lame. However, if you really want to qualify for Indy, it's rough to find a better deck to do it with. This is especially true if you suck at the game of Vs.
Me, I'm facing a rough choice. I have the cards to do two decks that I really want to play, and both of which I'm sure will do terribly. However, my performance at the CCs is really secondary to me having fun, so I'm going to ask all you Realmers to make my choice easy.
Mono Darkseid's Elite or Thule Society/Masters of Evil? The Thule/MoE deck is only allowed to run Nazis, such as Baron Zemo, Red Skull, Damn Nazis, etc.
uhm DS isnt top tier if you think so you are an idiot. can you say auto lose to agl? especially THAT list?
Translation:
I don't think DS qualifies as top tier, particularly the list provided in this thread.
Now I'll validate my opinion by slinging arrows.
Good day.
I love that during the previews and even after the sneaks, everyone said Sentry was terrible and would never be played, and was too underpowered for an 8-drop.
I said he was great, but dependent on being able to get to 8 in the first place. The anti-readying and stallish effects that the Spider-Friends have combine for a nasty little package to get you there, so he's very solid indeed. He's on par with Captain Marvel in that respect - get to 8, satisfy his loyalty, and you should win the game if you've played efficiently.

Well, by "everybody", I mean "a bunch of people that posted in the thread when Sentry was previewed, as well as a bunch of people at the Sneak Preview I attended". A lot of people wrote him off as being a "crappy 8-drop", and now he's a star.
I would like to start seeing a few deck lists of you guys who played in your City Champs already (if you guys dont mind)
Here are the decks that my son and I played at the CC in Colorado Springs. We both made top 4. His X-Mental deck (a last minute choice) did even better than I expected, thanks to loads of tech cards and a good way to search for the best one for a given matchup. I lost to it on turn 7 after my son played two copies of Null Time Zone (to stop Lunatic Legion and Live Kree or Die), then used Jean Grey, Red to replace ALL 7 of his spent resources with new ones.

to make 60. Fun deck to play, especially if the Phantom Stranger card draw engine goes off with all the evasion. Was thinking of EomE instead of Mobilize since I can always get Creeper on 3, but it also lets me get Stranger to start drawing. Like I said, not great, but fun to play.
