GenCon Indy is a four day event. Most people attend for all four days.
UDE using all four days of the event to support their games in the best possible way is the right decision.
UDE changing things this late is BAD. UDE eliminating LCQs is BAD. UDE moving LCQs to a hotel on Wednesday is BAD.
Hopefully the rumor is unfounded. UDE/Scott this rumor is something that needs to be confirmed or denied. Many people have already made their travel plans for GenCon and changing the schedule for the PC is absurd at this time.
This is why I didn't post the rumor over here. I didn't want people hating on UDE based on a rumor. Hate on them when they do screw up, but not on a rumor.
ahh yes the evil hippie. I have been combating them all mylife, disrupting there drum circles and breaking up there gatherings. I am sure if i have a heart attack one day it will be because of a dirty hippie.
its also the reason i listen to slayer, hippies hate Metal.
oh yeah almost forgot.........maybe this will be addressed in the next Friday update? the VS update that has news and information about the ongoing world of VS.
I have wrestled with this hippie classification for years, and I think y'all may be right. I am done fighting.
You guys can be miserable all you want. In fact, from now on I will be happy for you. No more punk rocker left in Stu... I am off to pick flowers instead.
I am not qualified either, but I really don't care. Life is too beautiful to slow down for that kind of stuff and it all works itself out one way or another anyway.
You get what you look for. People around here really enjoy having problems so they can show off their immense intellectual sarcasm skills. Proving how smart they are by complaining as bitterly as possible is their thing. They must be really getting off on this one. Lucky, lucky people. Life is good.
I myself am immune to metal.. as I still listen to the awesomeness that is G'N'R. You've got to understand the hippie is a very adaptable person, I don't pick ### many flowers as I used to... but all the rooms in my house have potpourri. Instead of going to large music festivals and enjoying the communing spirit of my peers, I stand in crowded elevators and hum along to the musak.

Starts off good... as usual.

Ends up flaming people... as usual.
No one here is "complaining"... just looking for answers.
I really hope they stick with the PC being Fri/Sat/Sun and that WoW Nationals are just 2 days Sat/Sun so that they can leverage as much of their player base as possible.
But honestly... WoW is doing way to well. The 2 WoW Regionals and the WoW Sneak I've been at have been way more successful than any of the VS equivalents (PCQs/Sneaks)... and for much less prizing.
It's a no-brainer for UDE not to worry about conflicting with VS... much to my chagrin.

so I went over to GenCon.com and they haven't even got a schedule for events up yet. So you can't have made plans for GenCon because you don't even know what's going on there yet.
I think that UDE shouldn't announce anything now for the same reason that they should never go off half cocked and throw dates around. I'm glad they are waiting till they are sure of the footing before they start throwing random dates and schedules around that are bound to dissapoint us when they have to change things up.
I mean its 4 months away....or rather 133 days, 13 hours and 4 mins from now. That's a lot of time.
Update: After digging around in the GenCon website i found out that event registration(that is getting your event into GenCon) doesn't end until this friday. That means that we probably won't here anything about this until 4/20 at the earliest.

I meant GenCon is four days. The PC is four days (LCQ, Day 1, Day 2, Day 3) for many players. If the LCQ gets hosted in a hotel on Wednesday it will almost assuredly conflict with people's plans.
So, yes many players will have already made plans. I am not attending GenCon this year, but in the years when I have, I usually had my plane flight and hotel booked by the end of Feb.
I think that 4/20 deadline can be extended if your are Premiere Sponsor like UDE.
It is still rather far away to make any GenCon announcements but the only reason this one in particular has more importance this far out is their PCQ Replacement Plan. If the possiblity to LCQ at GenCon is reduced, the need for some type of system other than Ratings Invite increases.
I wish there was some way I can get take all the points from the pros here and run a tournament to give them out to non-q'ed players... hehe... a 2nd-Hand PC Points Championship.

If you can find a cheat to give away the PC points I've black-holed, I'll gladly give them to you :)
